Super Bowl review...

As far as Super Bowls go it was a pretty good game. While both teams showed up. pac was surprised the offenses never fired on all cylinders...

Both defenses did make life difficult for both QB's. That's for sure. LA sacking Burrow seven times. Which ties a SB record. Not something he will want t o be remembered by.

Stafford throwing two interceptions surprised no one. The interception thrown right before the half wasn't a big deal. After halftime though it was. As it contributed to Cincinnati's TD throw seconds before. Enabling Cincy t o score a FG also. Both of those scores happening in twenty two seconds...

Stafford and Kupp almost had quite a trick play if it had succeeded. With Kupp throwing a pass t o Stafford. It was a good throw just t o high! But that last drive in the fourth quarter when it all mattered. Stafford and Kupp were magical marching down the field! It's a bit sad that Cincy was called for the penalties that kept giving LA chances. But it is part of the game...

pac enjoyed many of the nostalgic and humorous commercials. Talk about some serious star power going on yesterday...

The halftime show was just ok in my mind. Can't say she enjoyed a group of dancers grabbing their cocks. Or Eminem kneeling when the NFL forbids it. Got a feeling there won't be another hip hop show anytime soon...

Kuddo's to Kupp for winning the SB MVP! It was well deserved...

And alas... LA did mortgage the farm and it worked out for them! Super Bowl Champions! LA 23-20...

Excellent recap.
Kupp definitely deserved the MVP. With OBJ out, he had to step it up, and, he made the big plays when his team needed it.
Gotta give credit to both defenses; they played hard.
Memo to Eli Apple and Jalen Ramsey- don't get caught looking in the backfield. Keep your eyes on your guy.
Memo to next year's opponents: do not make Aaron Donald angry. You won't like him when he's angry.
The official line on the game was Rams minus 4 or 4.5. Those Vegas oddsmakers know their business, don't they? I wonder how much money they had to pay out to Bengals bettors?
There are always about 500 proposition bets one can make on the Super Bowl. I'm sure there was a prop bet offering, what, 250 - 1 that Matthew Stafford would catch a pass. Somewhere at some Vegas sportsbook last night, there was someone holding a ticket on that prop bet that, for a brief moment, saw big dollar signs in his eyes, only to be disappointed again.

Thank you RB!
I do appreciate that...
Yes... big mistake making Aaron Donald angry. Because the defense went to a different level after that...
I didn't go crazy with my betting. But I did win the one's I played.
Which always makes the game more enjoyable!

I agree the game was enjoyable. Not a great game, but it was enjoyable.
I realize that I am not in the target audience for the halftime show and I did not really watch it.

Agreed Grey!

And I sorta wish I didn't watch the halftime show either!

Nice recap.

My prop bets would've been really nice with a tying field goal by Cincy. With their miracle kicker, I was hoping for him kicking a 60+ shot. It would have offered the nail-biting finish we've gotten used to this year.

The Bengals can't complain about penalty calls. Tee Higgins got away with an obvious face mask against Jalen Ramsey on his TD catch and run.
Always sad when the season ends but not so much this year. Betting was a bitch!

Thanks gry!

Yeah the face mask on Ramsey was blatant. Hard to believe it was missed.

Sorry you didn't get the tie for OT...
Which would have been fun to...
But I totally agree on the betting part... It sucked!

I liked the video game players coming out the tv & the horse commercials the best!
LAs big gamble did paid off for them but was it worth it longterm is still to be determined?!
l really didn’t have a Fav thou l picked CIN & they beat the spread I’m glad for Stafford CIN had their opps but they didn’t perform or capitalize on them 0 pts in 4th qtr & DE Donald is a beast!
all in all it was a very good game minus 1/2 time show!

Nice commercials bdsm! I did love the bowling one…

Yes Cincinnati had numerous chances, and could have easily won the game if LA’s defense
didn’t stiffen ( pun not intended) up.
Still was a good game though…

pac

I understand it was a GREAT game!

Here, the Newspapers said the Half- time entertainment was superb ( What little I saw of it, tends to make me agree with your opinion )

Not sure if it was great? But it was good Jenny!

As far as the half time show. We were not in the targeted audience no doubt.
But I guess I thought it would be a bit more mainstream for the SB?
Just saying.

The game was great and the it all really changed with the injury to ODJ. Once he was out as the guys on PFT keep saying all that the Bungals had to do was stop the ball getting to Kupp as the Rams never really had much as the remainder of their stars were already out injured.

As for the half time show I do not like hip hop and the advantage of working well into the night on my side of the pond meant that I could watch the game the next morning.

Why oh why did Snoop dog have to be shown smoking weed on TV (I just don't get it) not really a fan of his music anyway (Although the Corona ads are better than the Tony Romo ones)

AS for the half time show seeing the stage set up was interesting but after about 5 seconds I zipped through to the 2nd half of the game. In my non educated opinion the best half time shows for me are the E-Trade half time show from super bowl 35. Although not a fan of U2 their show at Super Bowl 36 was a different class And I Have A Feeling that the Black Eyed Peas half time show from Dallas is right up there even if Fergie sounded awful.

Enjoy the off season until our Lord Rodgers up sticks for a new team, how does Pittsburgh sound to you?

All the best, Go Pack Go!

Jo xx
