Different ?

I, personally, always believed I was different with thoughts not of the norm or as I'd been taught were the norm. I think many of us in the lifestyle can relate this and just how shaped our lives.

After Fifty Shades of Grey exploded onto the scene many in the lifestyle derided the movie/s yet I think brought BDSM into the mainstream. Sure, were those that just read the book or watched the movie t.o be titillated but I'm quite certain it made others breathe a sigh of relief. The relief that they really weren't that different. I believe that those that accept their individuality are brave. T.o admit t.o oneself that they enjoy pain, enjoy bondage, crave dominance, crave power, etc. is a big step and can be described as brave.

I'm slightly offended when called normal.

Well the Fifty Shades books seems to have proved that there's a lot more
women at least interested, even if not active in the lifestyle.

Over here in the UK the charity shops were begging people not to donate
anymore copies. Charity shops said they had hundreds of copies. No one was buying them but loads of people were donating them. It seems lots of women were interested to read the book, but having read it didn't want people to find it in their
house.

H

I agree that it takes courage to recognise we are different and accept that!
