Slip of the tongue I have been receiving HRT (hormone replacement therapy) pellets for almost a year now. They do initial blood testing to determine hormone levels then implant pellets in the hip area. The pellets slip between layers of fat and skin usually in the upper buttocks region. They use lidocaine to numb the area before insertion. The other day the nurse practitioner doing the insertion commented " you don't even flinch" and without even thinking "maybe that's the masochist in me" came flying out of my mouth. She paused for a split second and commented "Okaaay". Not sure if I surprised her or not but now there's no doubt she knows me a little better. |

It may have been a little more than she really cared to know, but then if she is a professional nurse she has seen and heard a lot, some of it you could never even imagine in your wildest dreams (or nightmares)

With the exact same way " flying out of my mouth", recently I have used the word babygirl while chatting with an old friend... no need to tell you that he heard it very well and now we know so much more about each other.. he is in Life for decades now.. so I guess now was the right time we talk that through.. life is full of surprises...

H I am sure she has heard it before and it is good to laugh about it A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny
