Gas Prices: California vs Florida

Sept 9 2023 Average gas prices

California: 5.374 / gallon
Florida. 3.625 / gallon

I cannot speak for everyone, but I use about 15 gallons a week which is about 780 gallons a year. So the real cost annually is:

California: 4191.72 dollars
Florida: 2827.50 dollars

In other words, the difference is 1364.22 annually or 13642.20 per decade.

So in the next 10 years, the cost difference is 13642.20 for the same product that provides me the same value where the only difference is the location in which I use it.

This is no accident. This is by design. California poilicies keep people poor.
