Songs and relationships


March 2022 Rambling: I've been thinking of all of the songs I've listened to over the years, whether I was lonely, hoping for love, facing challenges, or just grooving to the beat. For some songs, the lyrics don't matter but it is actually some part of the music that resonates... for other songs, it is ALL about the lyrics and how they express my thoughts and feelings about the situation at the time.
As I reminisced, I realized that some songs were particular just to a certain time in my life and a few I have carried with me for years and years. I also realized that when it comes to songs about love and guys, I have main categories: 1. songs that refer to a good relationship with a guy, what I hope for or what will be needed/required (Guy/Love songs) and 2. songs about a breakup, moving on, or cautions about relationships (Guy/Breakup songs). I had lots of general songs about life and other things on the list too.

And so to the playlists I compiled (after much research, you should see my Youtube history for the last few days):

Middle school:

High school:
I'd do anything for love (but I wont do that)- Meatloaf (love the video)
All for love- Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, Sting (amazing movie with Kevin Costner)

College:

Amazed- Lonestar (country music phase)
*Shook me all night long- AC/DC (sung loudly at every college social)
