That meme sums up aftercare quite nicely. At least from my perspective, it's one of those responsibilities that doesn't require much in the way of discussion beforehand. I don't think I'll ever quite understand Dom/Dommes that don't engage in such an important aspect of a D/'s relationship.

I definitely like to cuddle after a session, especially if it was intense. I need that to feel that I'm valued and cared for. And to relativity the things that may have happened. Anyone thinking that that would take away from his dominance simply has not understood BDSM. It makes me want to do it again and possibly try harder to nudge a limit a little further. And of course after calming down a bit, I need to talk about it, honestly, openly and without false shame of any sort, also from him.

Absolutely subs need aftercare. Depending on intensity, I may just want a little bit of cuddles, to a bit more. Master has a tendency to cuddle me some .. unless I am so sensitive that I cum at the slightest touch -- then he usually cooks me dinner. He loves to cook  If it has been a really heavy thuddy or stingy scene, he may get a bath ready with epsom salts. If you haven't experienced drop after an intense scene, it is a real thing. If a dom hasn't done something for it, it may mean that the sub ends up seeing the scene very differently.
