Are you into impact play?
I've been posting Moment of impact pics and moved me to write about impact play in the Facebook groups I post to, since I can't post the pics there. Zuccaberg's Law and all.

 Have you ever thought about what happens upon impact from your hand, a cane, crop, belt or flogger?
The implement you use does not just strike the surface, leaving behind the reddening skin, stripe, lash or crop mark.
Think of a meteor impacting the earths surface
Unlike the earths surface that shows the crater for a millennium, the flesh of the body compacts into a crater, then rebounds back into shape.
Depending on the receiving flesh and the force of the impact, a cane can drive a narrow groove as much as 3 inches deep in the blink of an eye. With the hand of a spanker going almost as deep, but with a wider crater.
This is why you must be cautious of WHERE you strike.
Striking on the lower back can cause the cratering to impact the kidneys. Striking areas with little flesh can damage tendons and ligaments. If the impact goes too deep, it can cause internal bleeding. Even muscle bruising and damage can result.
Impact play lovers, both givers and receivers, enjoy the red bottoms, the lash marks, and stripes that show on the surface.
Many even adore the bruising, which is UNDER the surface and caused by the compressions made on impact, bursting blood vessels.
But we must be aware of what happens deep in the body with impact play. It's not just a surface area result from the impact.
I looked and looked for a picture that Facebook would allow, with no success. But if you want to see for yourself, just search:

Impact play requires a heightened sense of safety.

 I think the biggest no no spots are obviously the kidneys,the liver,the back of the head

All in orange, high risk zone, and I don't know why the maker of the chart didn't make the head pink. Also depends on what you are using. A flogger isn't going to get deep enough for the kidneys and liver to be damaged

 Slapping the face can cause retinal detachment.
