What is “Tribute”? Article in comments |

|
Quite a few members of groups have been posting and asking about “tribute”. Being asked for it, paying it, is it part of BDSM, etc, etc. Plain and simple, “tribute” is payment for dominance. The “Dominant” demands a payment to them before they will dominate the submissive. Sometimes they even demand it before any discussions with the submissive. You may wonder if this is legal. In some situations, yes, in other situations NO. If you pay this “tribute”, you are becoming a client and paying for a service. If the service is done for you, within the laws of the jurisdiction, it is legal service. Now if sex is involved, in most areas, this becomes an illegal act of sex for hire. I’m sure you know the words that describe that are. If you pay for the service and you don’t get the service, again, it is illegal. You’ve been scammed. Is “tribute” part of the BDSM lifestyle? I believe any respectable lifestyler will say NO. A respectable Dominant is not looking for “clients”. They are looking for submissives to have a relationship with. Are there legitimate Pro Dommes? Yes. They fill a need for those submissives that just CAN’T be patient enough, or don’t have the time enough, to find a partner for a relationship. How can you tell the difference between a Pro Domme and a scammer or illegal sex worker? Do your homework. If they have a picture, use a Reverse Image Search to check and see if it’s all over the internet, including porn sites. Ask questions. When is payment due, how much, and how to pay. NEVER send money upfront. NEVER send money by cash apps, including PayPal. If you are using a real Pro Domme, they will expect the cash face to face when you meet and do your scene. If you send money up front and by app, kiss it goodbye, you’ve been scammed. Unfortunately, the BDSM lifestyle has become a money cow for scammers. They sit in front of a computer and tell you lies, from wherever in the world, to convince you to send them money to get all your dreams to come true. The easiest way to avoid this, is NEVER send money to someone you haven’t met. Save your hard earned money for someone you meet, no matter how long it takes. © 1/19/23 Ronald Dirienzo

Very wise, yet logical words.

A respectable Dominant is not looking for “clients”. They are looking for submissives to have a relationship with. Real people are searching for real partners, without titles, roles or pretense. Unfortunately, the BDSM lifestyle has become a money cow for scammers . The whole internet is a cash cow for scammers! Even websites that create bogus profiles to prompt memberships. If you send money up front and by app, kiss it goodbye, you’ve been scammed. You mean like paying up front to websites that are mostly created and bogus profiles??

Another definition of "tribute" is pouring one's seed over the photograph of a desired person. And then posting a photograph of the photograph on the Internet. Another term for this is "honoring". Aye, I've had a few of those.... Unsolicited I might add... xx
