Curiosity killed the cat…

Satisfaction doesn’t always bring the cat back.
What does that have to do with BDSM?
Many people get curious about new kinks, some of them on the riskier side and rush into trying them.
Their curiosity overwhelms their common sense and they dive in without knowing what they are doing.
We should always take the time to learn the risks about new kinks and play.
We should always take the time to learn how to properly use any implements required.
We should always discuss the new kink with our partners in depth so that all risks and possibilities are out in the open.
If possible a demonstration should be seen before trying it yourself.
If possible a dry run practice should be done. (caning a pillow, for instance).
Always have safety items available for whatever you are trying, including first aid kit.
Being curious about new kinks and ideas is great.
Being hasty and not knowing the proper way to do something risky is not great.
Curiosity can kill the cat and there may not be any satisfaction to bring it back in the worst case scenario.
Don’t think it can’t happen to you. It can happen to anyone.
Always, always, think safety first and learn all you can about anything new you want to add to your dynamic.
