Mature The BDSM Lifestyle is not a place for immature people. It takes maturity to properly understand the intricacies that go into a BDSM Dynamic and what each role is really about. It takes maturity to properly asses the risks involved in all facets of the Lifestyle. It takes maturity to properly dominate and control another, or to properly submit to another. An immature person should not be making these kinds of decisions. More often than not they will decide based on the excitement and titillation and not the true basis of their role or the risks. Not all people mature at the same ages or rate. Just because someone is of legal age for a jurisdiction, doesn’t mean they have the maturity of an adult. Conversely, some not of legal age hae maturity beyond their years, but that does not mean they should be allowed to participate in the Lifestyle before they are of legal age. At least in my opinion and the eyes of the law. Maturity goes a long way in enabling the Lifestyle participant to handle the physical, mental and emotional commitments and stresses that will occur in a dynamic. Without maturity, a participant will often break down when the going gets difficult, things get less exciting or not go the way they fantasized. When vetting, judge the maturity of a potential partner. The less maturity, the more likely things will break down sooner than later. © 3/4/24 Ronald Dirienzo
