Eyes Wide Open (reply)

there is the novice Dominant themselves that have not learned the proper way to care for a submissive.

Going into a "relationship" with your eyes
wide open is common sense rather than
something particular to BDSM.

Not all that glitters

salt looks like sugar.

And everyone is different. I always think when I read I am properly trained...maybe so, for the other guy...lol

Common sense is the same
from person to person when
starting a relationship
whether it involves kink
or not.

“Going into a "relationship" with your eyes
wide open is common sense…”
“Common sense is the same from person to person…”
…and how is it that you, or anyone else for that matter, have quantitatively analyzed and documented this ?!?
Common sense,… let’s face it,… DOES NOT EXIST !!… NEVER HAS !!
Regardless of whether it’s about starting any relationship, or any of the myriad situations to which it’s attributed. It’s a false construct (folklore, fairy tale, myth,… what have you) of wishful thinking on a monumental scale. It’s a really nice concept, that of everyone being capable of some minimal level of standards, guidelines or some magical *innate* knowledge, somehow maintaining a consistent level through us all (*really?!?*), though in reality that is being extremely generous, and for all intents and purposes, is nonexistent. It’s hardly a deep dive to see the painfully obvious lack thereof,… on said monumental scale.

Common sense is just good judgement
in practical matters, a form of
intelligence, a knowledge.
The ability to think and behave in
a reasonable way and to make good
decisions.
It's not a gift, but a punishment,
since you have to deal with everyone
who doesn't know what it is or
doesn't have any.

So,… how many times are ya gonna delete this?!? Why? Cuz ya don’t like it? Ya don’t like being shown up? Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? What’s the skinny dude?!? Spill !! Here it is again, for your reading pleasure,… for the third time:
Thanks for makin my point dude! It is a punishment, as you say, because so many, a vast majority , don’t possess it. It doesn’t really matter how you define it, the point being that it’s far from common. It is a horrible misnomer,… it would be much more accurately named “few and far between sense,” or “totally random sense.” Not to mention that it can hardly be …”the same from person to person “ in those who do possess it, unless they are all plugged in awaiting the next update,… ya know, the gooey, near infinite mess of human experience and existence.
Cheers 🍻

I've responded to this
as many times as the powers
that be remove it. Common
sense is present in everyone
to some extent or another.
Common sense is random . .
But so are all of the situations
humans run into.

I humbly apologize for being rude. Yes, I unfortunately am acquainted with the gremlins here.
It is all too easy for many in this essentially anonymous format to let’s say “release the hounds,” the worst of us. I usually try to fashion a response, and then sit on it a while, ponder it, edit it for snark and assholiness. It can still get away from me, hopefully only on rare occasion.
I still contend that “common” sense is anything but, and as you say, somewhat of a punishment for dealing with those who don’t have any.
We may have different opinions of whatever degree and still be civil and cordial in our interactions, as part of the infinite mess of human experience.
Cheers 😎
