We need an educated America.

There is no education in a free ride.

Most of the students educated
within the k12 systems aren't
educated sufficiently. Lets put
the money from student loans
for college back into educating
the k12 students.
That's how you educate America!!

There is a difference between
paying for someones education
and letting default on a loan.

Wow.... I've explained this before with citations..... willfully ignorant question...... if you could call it a question.....

Every 1$ the government spends on college and post college education, the economy gets back 6$ and the government get 28% of that!

Forgive the 2T$ in student loans, and the tax revenues will go up!!! The 2T$ the government "spent" will be paid back in a decade and will keep paying nack forever. Free post-HS public education pays back, has always paid back, and will always pay back!!! I make 5x to 10x (50x if I didn't work for the government) more times 28% for the government than if I had just a HS education.

Is it for everybody? No. Trade schools should also be free. Anything post-HS.

BTW, if the government pays for it, WE AS CITIZENS PAY FOR IT. That how our government works. We the people? The biggest ficking letter in the constitution? I got mine, FUCK YOU!!!

Willfully ignorant is all I can come up with except for the "i got mine, fuck you!" mentality. Willfully ignorance and spewing what faux noise said. No data to support this conclusion at all.

Willfully ignorant. You have no clue how our economy and government work. Civics 101. You failed! Try again and read .y previous comment for data to support my conclusion that you have no idea what you are talking about!!!!

Civics 101 apparently wasn't

the gov't spends of our money
is wasted if the education
fails.

Most of the time, education doesn't fail. The student isn't paying attention. There is only so much the schools can do. What the issue is, most students cannot see a future for themselves because of where they are located and the poverty they see. Hunger really hurts a childs ability to learn. Parents not participating hurts too. Most of the US's ills stem from poverty and the issues associatedwithpoverty. White males like you and me cannot understand poverty because we never experienced it (which is a lie BTW). Those with empathy (non-repubs - many studies show this) can put themselves in that place, understand why, and experts can help solve the problem. LBJs war on poverty (or a war on anything) NEVER worked! There are a few answers today. But repubs hold them as the poster child for socialism. Of which the answers and socialism have nothing to do with each other. Just faux noise trying to keep the rich rich and the poor poor. Yet, municipalities in the US have nearly eliminated poverty using the answers. Damn data!

I have not worked through this enough to have a coherent argument yet with details and a conclusion. I just know at this point that there are answers. This is the research process. You just have to work through it!

As far as the data goes, 1$ government spent gets 6$ back to the economy is true even with the current numbers of willfully ignorant among us. If we had less willfully ignorant, it may be 7$ back.... only time will tell.

The money the gov't
spends in relation
to the dollars given
back to the economy
is meaningless when
the education turns out
to be sub standard in
world ranking. If you
go to college and you
get a degree and you can't
get a job that pays for
the education . . You
want us to pay your loan,
hell no, sue the idiots
that sold you a flawed
education.

at least in pre-college education if they learned about debt and the weight interest owed brings, students might be more careful about loans. They go into debt like animals to the slaughter house, not realizing the true destination.

This shows how little you understand.

1) a HS diploma and a wage that won't allow you to get above the poverty line. No capital or wealth (a house), no Healthcare, food stamps, etc..... 1 small bill away (100$) from losing everything and being homeless.

2) debt and a BS/BA and a salary that after the debt is paid, will get you capital and wealth (a house and a retirement plan), healthcare, a longer life, a car or two, solid middle class, etc.... a major bill or two away (100,000$ heart attack) from selling a car or downgrading the house but not losing everything and being homeless. Bankrupt, but not homeless.

Which one would you choose if you had to make the choice today and not 50 years ago (as you and I did)? If you choose 1, you are just willfully ignorant and lying! Of course you'd choose 2! No need to calculate anything. Even if you did the calculation, it would still be a net positive, hard for a while (5-25 years depending on the degree and unversity)

The shitty thing is, we (you and i) didn't have to make that choice. Back then, a HS diploma could get you 50-70,000$/year. Definitely in the middle class in the 80s and 90s. Good union jobs. They are gone. Slinging frys is all that is left for just a HS diploma. If you're smart, the manager of fry slingers. Lower middle class at best.

Your conclusion is not supported by the data and why folks in the US have 2T$ in school debt. No other country in the world has that kind of school debt. Other governments took what they saw that the US did with the GI Bill and ran with it. If you want to go to Harvard, that is on you. If you want to go to the University of Arizona, have at it. Good luck and we, the America people will pay for it because just the return on investment alone will be tremendous. Not to mention the lifting folks out of poverty and other bad things that are killing our economy today.

Try to do the necessary research to understand the economy and how shit works with in it. The calculation you say nobody knows is done, but you left out a whole bunch of it and why folks go into debt for school! So, ultimately, you got it wrong. Are you just willfully ignorant or spewing what faux noise told you to say? Remember, they are proven liars - in court!

I suggest you read this post Real Political Debate and try again!

Your reply is based on assumptions
and still lacks recognition that
the main reason people are seeking
relief from student loans is because
the education the purchased with
the loan has failed to produce enough
income to repay the loan. You want
to blame the people as bad students.
That would only be a valid argument
if it weren't for the world ranking
of the U.S. educational system which
fails to make the top ten. No
"understanding" of the economy or
"how shit works" can change the world
rankings or the glaring failure of
a woefully over-price education.

I hear it from students in hs even in jr hi......learned behavior from parents or whomever they are living with. The way of the world to them is over spend with loans, cars, boats etc.....and when they can't pay.....they just let it go back.....or sometimes have to file for bankruptcy. The kids tell all at school......

You make a good point.
The question could be whether
a good education can overcome
the bad morals, ethics and
humanity being taught at home?

Wtf! You go to the bank and take a loan your obligated to repay it. The same should go with the government. You're thinking is flawed.

Howling at the moon and mal ad osteo.
