There is only one reason for a Dominant to do this. That is to keep the submissive from getting advice and help from those they trust.

You do not have any idea why All Dominants
do anything. So your judgement is nothing
but uninformed speculation.

 I totally agree with all that you say in this post. Good one. "incommunicado" sounds like an unsafe practice. I do not see where it fits into any form of BDSM.
