Just steer well clear of the local men, too many bad stories of what happens to women in this situation.

Yeah I remember you telling me about the wedding so that would be the excitement but I don't get the nervousness because it isn't you getting married, although, travelling in that part of the world does have some dangers to it.
Many years (23) ago when I was working over there, a couple of female tourists made a complaint abut being *d by a couple of cops. The Police investigated and found the claims to be true, so they took them (the cops) out into the main square in front of the Police Headquarters, and executed them.

I like to travel, and do quite a bit of it on my own. I was in Ottawa in August of 2019. Maybe we should chat sometime, who knows, we may be able to be travel buddies next time I'm in the Americas. If not, I can certainly offer some advice to help with solo travel.

Still excited and not so nervous about my trip. A casual friend has texted to say he and his new gf will meet me and take me around to see Dubai.

Well Primal, your trip has been and gone, and you would have seen an amazing place, bth with the moderness of how Dubai is today, and the amazing old city with the Grand Souks and the astounding architecture, so I think you should fill us all in with your trip. I will bet the wedding was amazing as well. I really hope you had a great time with no dramas being encountered.
