Every Day is Ladies' Day - On Alt

I do not know the demographics on Alt and base this simply on my wandering from room to room, but it seems to me there are way more men here than women. That makes every day ladies' day. For the most part, that means they get to pick and choose who they will contact, respond to, play with, etc. This is neither good, nor bad; it just is.

It is also my sense - again based only on observation and experience - that men are far more likely to take the first step via DM or IM - reinforcing what some of us remember as traditional and accepted gender roles from a long time ago.

I am curious to hear from others about this.

 I used to message interesting looking persons and get no reply. So I would say that women don't have all the power. Though I have never been the most available.
