Well, it has been 2+ months since I rejoined Alt. My experience has been as mixed as I expected. Rooms that were once consistently full and active are now pretty quiet. The couple of people I hoped to reestablish contact with are not on Alt as much or predictably, so that hasn't worked so well. The people who joined the Writing Room have slowly but surely lost interest and don't visit or contribute. On the other hand, the Music Room has thrived (well, not been inactive) thanks to the active contributions and creativity of a couple of Altizens. And, heaven forfend, there are still way too many players and poseurs here to establish and maintain even a casual relationship. But here I am and here I shall stay for a while longer - at least until I can wrap up the three stories still very much in progress.
