Are Pictures from the Internet Permitted on Alt?

It has been my understanding that it is counter to Alt policy for someone to use a<b> fake </font></b>picture as part of their profile. Sometimes these pictures are of adult movie stars and models; and sometimes they are provocative ads; and sometimes, well, it could be anything, I suppose.

I have reported these as a matter of course as I find them intentionally misleading.

Am I wrong? Are some pictures downloaded from the net acceptable? If so, I might owe at least one person a sincere apology.

But if so, then doesn't Alt have a responsibility to take some action against the person reported? (Rhetorical - the answer, of course, is Yes.)
