IM Is the IM (instant messenger) meant to work for standard members? Everytime I launch it I get taken to the membership page? |

Yes, it works for standard members but you need to use your points every time you want to start a conversation with someone or answer an IM. Additionally, you both need to be active on IM to be able to communicate

Hi, totalslavegirl38, good morning! As 'MrJohnson' said, AND know that it rarely works as it's supposed to, which is why so many responded to your question about the 'BLOGS'! Hope you're finding your way around the site, and have a pleasant day

I find it works ok but i mainly turn my messenger to on for members to greet me, hope that helps, sara xx

The better question might be why IM? If you're a standard member you must purchase points in order to contact an other profile on IM. Considering that most profile are fake, isn't purchasing points a bigger waste of money that a membership?

To put it simply and mildly, the IM is an Industrial Strength piece of crap. I think its main function is to suck as much money from members as possible. Calling it a 'Piece of Crap' is giving it far too much credit. Make Women Female Again

Hey girl, make sure that you are turned on by clicking the little icon at the top of the page between the envelope and the bell, then launch IM. It seems to have less chance of working if you don't do it in this order. And you need to have a reserve of points to instigate or answer a call (10 points per each initial message) as a standard member. IF IM is working, you can expect that it will freeze at some point, and if this happens, you will need to shut IM and relaunch it and go through the same process, including the use of the points, to get the conversation going again. It is because the platform is so unstable that it can fall over if say the wind blows too hard or you hold your mouth wrong.

OK, here is the best way to communicate privately with other members. First you need to create a private contact blog and pin it to the top of your blog page so it doesn't get pushed back to any previous pages of your blog list. Most here will be able to explain the process, but if you want a step by step guide, and someone to help you test it is working as it should, let me know via my contact blog and we'll get you set up. You can find individual blog pages by clicking on the Blogs button at the top right of the home page and searching the blogger's user name. Next, you need to create a blog which contains your intro on your account page. Pin this to number two position on your blog page. Most people who are interested in you will view your profile. However, most intelligent people won't buy a paid membership due to the total ineptness of the site. So, the first line of your intro on your member page should read, " You can contact me privately via my contact blog." This will be viewable by anyone who does a mouse over of you on amy of the site pages. This should have you set up to communicate with other members. Some may not work out what you're doing, but mostly, they are the ones that lack the intelligence to be worth communicating with anyway. You could also update your status to indicate you have a private contact blog. Hope this helps. If not completely clear, let me know, and I'll hold your hand through the process.

But everytime I click to launch it goes to the order form sir? To talk via IM with another person you need that person to be "On IM" and you also have to be. First, in order to be "OnIM" you have to click on the circle tab with three dots inside and activate it. After this, the easiest way to use IM is to enter the "Search" tab and then the "Who's On IM" tab. In this part you can filter the search criteria and find people who are on IM. To open IM you have to click directly on the "IM" symbol that appears in the lower right corner of each profile. Another easy way is to open the IM tab that appears in the upper right corner of the main page. It's next to your username. Another window will open in which you can see the profiles that are currently in IM You have to be clear that there are profiles that have "OnIM" activated so you will not be able to talk to them in this way I hope it helps

Oh, one more thing, even if you are a paid member, many features like IM do not always work. Poor coding and the servers are sort of suspect; Specially for photos. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

So my one post was cut by the site for supposedly having a banned topic. It did not. so I will paraphrase it here: Most things on this site are geared for work for paid members. So the marketing is set up to try and get you to be a subscriber.. Most of the good folks don't . Many bloggers set up private message blogs at the top of their blog. I’m hoping it doesn’t work…either that or I’m being ignored a lot! 🤣
