Scammer or just poorly educated ?????? Last week I returned a couple items at wally world, the gal shorted me 10 bucks. So I called her on it. Then last night at little Caesars I give the little gal 20.25 for a 19.19 order. She gives me back .06 cents, so I call her on it. At first she looks at me like I'm trying to scam her, thinks about it for few seconds then apologized before giving me all my change. |

Just curious if they are trying to pull a scam, or just really can't count?? Any one else experiance this???

If they're under 30, they probably can't count.

It's a little bit of both - lots of clerks & cashiers don't seem to be able to make change anymore. As for it being a scam, restaurants, while not shorting you on your change, throw in some additional fees & costs. If you catch them on it, they'll say it's a "kitchen fee", or some extra money for the kitchen crew, or a licensing thing. And they don't tell you up front about it, either. I think, if you catch them on it, they might not charge you the fee.

A coupla years ago I purchased 3-$1 lottery tickets at the service counter of the local grocery store. I handed the young lady a $100 bill… she looked at it… she looked at me… she looked back at the bill… she turned around and went over to a calculator… I said, “you’re kidding, right?” …she wasn’t kidding 🫣🫠🫤
