The World of Crackers Has Lost a Giant Rest in power. Crackers...not necessarily the BIGGEST subject you'll read about on this site, but I was disappointed to read the article on line about 'Red Oval Farms Stoned Wheat thins' after not being able to find them in any of my usual 'grocery haunts'. And apparently, finding a GOOD quality replacement for them isn't going to be easy, either. They were my 'go to' crackers of choice, good with anything that you like to put on or enjoy crackers to accompany, such as soups, or chili con carne, or a slice of cheese (choose any type, those crackers never met a cheese they didn't compliment well!). On explanation was given for their demise, I had thought, perhaps, that rising fuel costs made them a product that was discontinued at the local stores, but others mentioned in the online article that Nabisco responded: “They’ve recently been delisted.
