Really curious to see how this site has evolved in the last couple of years

Well, I've gone for worse, but thinking about it, it might be over a longer period than two years. There are more fakes & scammers than there used to be, less of the genuine people & lifestylers. Also it used to be easier to contact people. If a silver or gold member contacted a standard member they could reply. I know they want to make the site pay, but it's now so restrictive, I would have thought it is counter productive.

A standard member can still reply if they are contacted by a silver or gold member. Works for me all the time.

so many fake ones and girls wanting to scam for money that is the reason i keep leaving and coming back.to Alt. it was the same the last time i left but it has gotten worse than the last time. I have asked the programmer's to place a dill so that the user Ip address will set their location area and town that they are in but no they have not done that. that way, if they do that, it will stop a lot of fake and scammer's accounts and we will know where they are in town with us or not. I do not trust any one pic account and after you talk to them they turn off their account then. sure sign then, I'm so sick of it completely

There again, every so often they seem to change how the site works, but they don't explain what they've done, or the effects they have. Reading the description of the silver & gold benefits, it's unclear to me whether non paying members are supposed to be able to reply or not.

I've been on alt for 20 yrs... And it was and still is a 3rd rate site run out of South East Asia. My biggest gripe is the fucking censorship of the blogs..this is an adult site...there are tos.. And some Karen mpd makes it their mission to squash anything they disagree with..

But, free members can't initiate contact with you or view your profile.** Now, with that being said I sent a few contacts just to see what would happen. Out of 3 contacts sent only 2 got them. The third could only read the first 5 words or so. I had there contact and feedback on IM.....got me......

All in all I think it's about the same. I do think alt is actively and aggressively removing fake profiles that have been reported. That is the secret here, people need to report

While I agree there are some things that have gotten worse, I've been with the site for a long time, and at the moment the only thing I find really worse (there have always been fakes and scammers and wannabes) is that the individuals now setting up profiles put almost nothing in their profiles. If the point is to find someone who has similar likes and dislikes as you, it is very hard to do that when the profile has nothing more than basic location and personal info, but nothing else. Honestly, I'd like to see them make it so you can't post a profile without at least putting in some kinks and more than "looking for a partner" in the subject line.

@GrayDragon I agree with you on the empty profiles - why even bother? But I think the reason many people do not fill out their profiles is that the more information you put out there the more likely it is that you will be scammed. Given image search engines, AI and data scraping nowadays there is a very real chance that your true identity may be revealed. For some people this may be truly disastrous in their private lives.
