Oompah Loompahs, Bondage and Yoga

A bit about me.

Delightful 2ndTimeHere was doing a delicious recipe in his blog; a multi-part series. But rather than relax in the blogesphere living room, perhaps drinking a lovely glass of wine, letting things unfold as they may--I had to bounce all up on him ,like a Labrador Retriever with ADHA...whatdaya doing *poke poke*....whatcha making??? *bounce bounce*...is it pesto? *poke poke*....is it ready? huh huh? For which, I might add, I was suitably chastised. All in a subbies day work

Rather than enjoy the process, I was focused on the end result. I am an "I want a Oompah Loompah NOW" kinda chick--always have been, probably always will be. In my first Alt incarnation, I found to my detriment that impatience is a bad thing. Now, a bit older, hopefully a bit wiser I try to take my time and savor the moment. But it's hard. Really hard. Even in yoga class, I find I forget to breathe-which really, is the whole point of the thing. I'll be in my asana, focusing on grounding in one area, flexing this area, releasing another-that all of a sudden it's like...*gasp* oh yeah breathing...can't forget to breathe, Perhaps meditation would work, but my mind races constantly.

Maybe that's why I like bondage so much. It forces me to just,....be. That's lovely. Scening in general makes me get out of my head, and into my body. God I miss it.

As long as Gene Wilder isn't the one holding the cane, all is fine with the world and The Candyman

Mmmm....candy. Is it just me, or does Gene Wilder look like a helluva sadist? Thank you as always for commenting

Another yogi!

Another yogi writing about Oompah Loompahs.

That had made my morning?

Don't suppose I can convince you to #stopdropandyoga?

Salutations Sylvia-thank you for reading and commenting I'm glad you enjoyed the post. Funny, when I first read about stopdropandyoga, I was like hell no!! No one wants to see the fat chick doing yoga. That's why I hide in the back of class. But you know what? I still go. Every week. Twice a week. Because I love it. I love the way I FEEL after yoga class. It makes me strong and flexible and balanced, and it's something, one of the few things actually, that I do for ME. Upon further reflection, I do have a pair of yoga pants that make my butt look pretty good...let me figure out an asana that's quasi flattering, and I'll get back to you
