A rose by any other name.... I've been wracking my brain, and my extensive vocabulary, to see if there is any one word, that even comes close to the feeling you get when you're about to play with a trusted Dom for the first time. * it's the butterflies in the tummy feeling * it's that sense of fear and danger, that really isn't fear or danger, because you know that your safety is paramount to Him * it's that nervousness/hope that you can live up to His demands, and be a good girl * it's that feeling that your skin is so sensitized to His touch, that you might come undone, at a soft stroke down your neck, shoulder and arm *it's that eagerness to please Him * it's that tremble in your legs, and the heavy dampness of your pussy *it's that audible swallow as you're directed for the first time *it's that trust of Him *it's that sweet space of the universe shrinking until all it contains is Him, and your reaction to His Dominance What's that called? Also, just for the other half...how do you feel before starting a scene with a new sub? |

and while I think that submission is a thread that starts slightly before this, and it runs through this feeling, and into the actual scene it self, and continues after, there is more to this feeling that that.

I feel calm and in control, perhaps with a boner. You're talking about being with a real Dom and not with 90%+ of the people here looking to get fucked. If you feel safe and have trust. You have a good start. Take care.

There is, of course, probably too much content for this the be wrapped up in a single established word in English. In German you might be able to stack up enough nouns into a new compound that might prove useful but I don't know enough to offer one. Perhaps you need to construct your own word to describe your experience. Otherwise the best I could suggest for the state as a whole might be "sub-arousal".

Dear Rayne the best I can come up with is uncontrolled exhilaration. I know the feelings you have listed because as a dominant, those same feelings come to me, BUT, as the dominant, I am the one in control, I am the one who is entrusted with the safety and well-being of the submissive, I am the one responsible for the desired outcome of the submissive, I am the one for ensuring that aftercare is given. If I let any of those feelings engulf me, then something is going to suffer. It would be like being affected by drugs or alcohol, and for me, that never happens.
