Women I Love

In honor of International Woman's Day, I though I should recognize some amazing ladies here on Alt.

Tell me, who do you love?

Aliljaded-if I were to paint her body it would be in red; maroon and crimson, perfect lipstick red, garnet and cherry and candy apple. I don’t know where she finds all the pieces for her blog, but they truly sing to my submissive soul. They state what I feel so eloquently, they should be required reading for very sub and Dom on Alt. She is a rare treasure on this site, wise, empathetic and giving.

Subtletee-if I were to paint her body it would be in purple; lavender and grape, royal purple and violet, amethyst, plum and lilac and iris. Oh, my girl tee. I can relate to you on so many levels. Your blog has made me cry and laugh, and opened my eyes to wonders I looked at but never really saw before.

Drmgirl622-if I were to paint her body it would be in yellow; the first brush of sunlight as it crosses the horizon, butter and lemon, honey, dandelion, butterscotch and flax. I don’t know why woman doesn’t have blog here, because I would rea it eagerly. She is warm, and wise, never says a bad word about anyone, is quick to laugh, or comment with a hug when needed.

feelmeglow-if I were to paint her body it would be in blue; the most gorgeous cerulean, cobalt and sky, teal and lapis, indigo and navy and robin’s egg and summer sky. Not the most prolific of bloggers, but I feel a kinship with her I can’t quite explain. One of the first people I reached out to in blogland, and I’m so glad she replied. A most thoughtful commenter, one who’s responses I look forward to reading, and apparently good things on her horizon for which I couldn’t be happier.

Cheekykitten2-if I were to paint her body it would be in orange; tangerine and ginger, amber, apricot, fire and marigold, clay, spice and marmalade. Kitten has been sad recently, and that makes me sad. I wish she would curl up in my lap so I could pet her. Beyond that I love a bit of cheek, and kitten is always good for a giggle or two. I hope she recognized the ray of sunshine that she is.

ina_scent-if I were to paint her body it would be in pink; blush and peach, magenta and fushcia, strawberry, rose, pink lemonade and cotton candy. She is sharp as a tack, with a whip crack sense of humor. Her softer side expressed through her poetry can bring me to tears.

A woman over forty knows herself well enough be assured in who she is, what she is, what she wants and from whom. Few women past the age of forty give a hoot what you might think about her or what she’s doing.
Women over forty are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won’t hesitate shoot you, if they think they can get away with it.
Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it’s like be unappreciated.
A woman over forty has the self-assurance to introduce you her women friends. A younger woman with a man will often ignore even her best friend because she doesn’t trust the guy with other women. Women over forty couldn’t care less if you’re attracted her friends because she knows her friends won’t betray her.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins a woman over forty. They always know.
A woman over forty looks good wearing bright red lipstick. This is not true of younger women. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over forty is far sexier than her younger counterpart.
Older women are forthright and honest. They’ll tell you right off if you are a jerk, if you are acting like one! You don’t ever have wonder where you stand with her.
Yes, we praise women over forty for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it’s not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed hot woman of forty-plus, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some twenty-two-year-old waitress.
Ladies, I apologize. For those men who say, “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free,” here’s an update for you. Now 80 percent of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig, just get a little sausage.

Rayne,
That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. I appreciate your kindness every day. The wisdom and emotional intelligence reflected in your posts are never-ending. There is so much we can learn from each other. I welcome the chance to do that every day. If I were to paint you, I would paint you beige and turquoise. The color of the sand and sea. My favorite place to be.

jaded *curtsies* I take that as the highest compliment indeed. It's wonderful to find other women who you respect and that respect you, and build one another up in the truest sense of sisterhood. I can hear the roar of the waves and feel the salt tinged breeze....oh look, is that a pina colada? oh goodie!! Always, rayne

Mmm, dear Rayne, I am not real sure of the colours, but you have mentioned quite a few great women. A couple of them are actual friends.

Between them, they post some excellent posts, about information, about feelings and emotions, there is some rather dark humour. You even mentioned Pyx (who I have not seen around for ages).

I must admit though, that I haven't visited the blog of hauntinglyblu, but I have read a few of her replies to others' posts.

Hi NoNonsense, thanks for stopping in and commenting. Your voice is always welcome here *smiles* The colors, well, I'm a visual girl, and those ladies evoke those colors in me.
