Is 27 to many? *wellheeledrayne* |

Pairs of shoes? I mean, that number does include boots, slippers and flip flops, which do those even count as shoes? I'm not hitting Carrie Bradshaw numbers, but is that excessive? Seems like a lot when you put it out there, but if you've ever tried to find the "right" pair of shoes for an ensemble, maybe 2 or 3 pair might not be remiss?

Dress shoes, walking shoes, athletic shoes, I would say about 10 total pairs would be about right for me, not counting winter boots of course, Imelda Marcos had hundreds of pairs. of course, she was a dictator, sure she confiscated a lot of shoes.

If it is the total number, ie, as you say including boots flip flops etc, that is probably correct!

I think it's perfectly fine to have the right shoes for the place. I would have had 12 or 13 pair if it wernt for me putting them out of reach of my dogs. My marine boots are only worn in the woods. I even have a special pair of shoes for cutting grass and working in the yard. One pair of shoes cant do it all, and besides if you have a pair of sneakers that need to be washed. You need another pair while those are indisposed. Gators are a little too expensive to have more than one pair. Especially the Italian made shoes. If you were talking panties. I'd say you had too many. A woman only needs two pair of panties. I'd have them off of her all the time anyway.

Certainly not too many.. When I was working in Ireland, I had quite a few pairs of shoes, (not as many as 27 tho' ), but since I've retired here I have very few! Only one pair of HIGH heeled shoes and one pair of boots. Reason is, where we live, the short way into the village from our house is across rough ground with a narrow path,, high heels, I have found out  aren't good on that kinda land. Rest of mine are trainers, flipflops, sandals, lo'w heeled boots.I LOVE red shoes, tho' with my colouring, red clothes don't suit me. XX Ginger

Just wondering if 23 is too many tells me you are disciplined . . And a disciplined women should be free to choose. You are also strong enough to handle any consequence. So while your question may appear inquiring, it is at best rhetorical. Flip flops and sandals are considered types of shoes.

Well, girlfriend, my shoe closets (note I said closets) are pretty full. I think your 27 is just fine.

Doesn't sound too excessive. If you have space to store them & are not spending more than you can afford, why not?
