IT"S DERBY DAY!!!!!!!!

Oh happy day, the first Saturday in May!!!!!

To me, the is the epitome of strength and beauty, power and grace. A Thoroughbred running is poetry in motion. Today 20 3 year old colts will line up for a run for the roses, the most exciting two minutes in sports!!!! i love to watch them run. The field:

1. Jazil
2. Steppenwolfer
3. Keyed Entry
4. Sinister Minister
5. Point Determined
6. Showing Up
7. Bob and John
8. Barbaro
9. Sharp Humor
10. A.P. Warrior
11. Sweetnorthernsaint
12. Private Vow
13. Bluegrass Cat
14. Deputy Glitters
15. Seaside Retreat
16. Cause to Believe
17. Lawyer Ron
18. Brother Derek
19. Storm Treasure
20. Flashy Bull

GO BABY GO

We have some excellent bloodlines running today, including Holy Bull, A.P. Indy, Storm Cat and Point Given. The usual suspects are represented at the trainer position as well, with Bob Baffert saddling 3 horses, Todd Pletcher 2, and Barclay Tagg 1. So, put on Y/your best hat, whip up a batch of mint juleps, and enjoy the race!!!!!!

MINT JULEP

2 cups sugar
2 cups water
Sprigs of fresh mint
Crushed ice
Early Times Kentucky Whiskey

Make a simple syrup by boiling sugar and water together for five minutes. Cool and place in a covered container with six or eight sprigs of fresh mint, then refrigerate overnight. Make one julep at a time by filling a julep cup with crushed ice, adding one tablespoon mint syrup and two ounces of Early Times Kentucky Whiskey. Stir rapidly with a spoon to frost the outside of the cup. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint

*L* i agree.....did You know that according to the NTRA, no two Thoroughbreds are allowed to have the same name? Leads to some interesting combinations to be sure.

It's getting better, tY.
