This word works as an excuse AND as an insult, as one is a state and the other is an attitude. Each impedes the achievement of our full potential, both as individuals and as a species. Great question to put out to the ether...

Very well said DeeVa. I see the current US government administration trying to move the public back toward ignorance and it frightens me. A well informed public is the cornerstone of a free society. But you can look worldwide and see the destructive nature of ignorance.

While it was my original intention to post an entire list it seems the Alt gods had other ideas. As it turns out they cut off the thread at an excellent place. As DeeVa has stated this is a great question. Thanks for commenting. I hope to see many more thoughts on this topic.
