Bungle in the Jungle

If only I could’ve been in precisely the right position at that moment, I would’ve had the photo of the decade!

There was a small crowd gathered in front of the Art Institute on Sunday where war protesters were proudly displaying signs to the honks and cheers of the passing traffic. The concrete stairs leading up to the museum are framed by two lions.

I wish I could’ve been standing in the street with a camera poised at the elderly woman joyously raising her anti-Bush/war sign with one hand while enthusiastically waving to the passing cars.

The Photo:

On the lower right side - the woman with her sign waving with the lion to her right slightly above.

On the left side – An angry man walking up the stairs just turning around and exclaiming, “There’s no hope for you” to the woman.

Along the top – The Art Institute of Chicago in all its glory.
