Can you name the movie from which this came?

Name the movie this came from and leave another quote if you like:

I was always a singer and maybe no more than that. Sometimes it's not enough to know the meaning of things, sometimes we have to know what things don't mean as well. Like what does it mean to not know what the person you love is capable of? Things fall apart, especially all the neat order of rules and laws. The way we look at the world is the way we really are. See it from a fair garden and everything looks cheerful. Climb to a higher plateau and you'll see plunder and murder. Truth and beauty are in the eye of the beholder. I stopped trying to figure everything out a long time ago.

I love this quote and wish you the best in finding its origin!!!

Anybody?

You have such a sweet voice Poetess! The soup is simmering . . .

As sung by Shirley Temple:

Once Mother said "My litle pet"
you ought to learn your alphabet
So in my soup I used to get
All the letters of the alphabet
I learned them all from A to Z
And now my Mothers giving me

------
Animal crackers in my soup
Monkeys and rabbits loop the loop
Gosh oh gee but I have fun
Swallowing Animals one by one

In every bowl of soup I see
Lions and Tigers watching me
I make 'em jump right through a hoop
Those Animal crackers in my soup

When I get hold of the big bad wolf
I just push him under to drown
Then I bite him in a million bits
And I gobble him right down

When their inside me where its dark
I walk around like Noahs Arc
I stuff my tummy like a goop
With Animal crackers in my soup

Animal crackers in my soup
Do funny things to me
They make me think my neighbourhood
Is a big menagerie

For instance there's our Janitor
His name is Mr Klein
And when he Hollers at us kids
He reminds me of a Lion

The Grocer is so big and fat
He has a big moustache
He looks just like a Walrus
Just before he takes a splash

~huge smiles~ my youngest performed that in a recital when she was 5.... stole the show as she has a head full of curls...a very fond memory!

What a precious moment Poetess! I sang "Downtown" which I learned from an old Chipmunks album! LOL

I also sang "The Look of Love" in third grade, however, my teacher became disturbed with the subject matter and let me know. She was not happy but the beautiful blonde Italian girl Nancy who gave me my first Valentine card was delighted!

I've never seen Scorchers. Clearly, I need more movie marathons!

It seems a battle is underway. Well, beautifultrouble, is your quote from Pretty Woman?

Is it an anime movie?

It doesn't help me because I've never watched an anime film. I've barely watched one or two entire shorts from Adult Swim so that should give you an idea of my lack of anime expertise.

Whichever film it is must not be all that popular because an entire swarm of trivia experts I consulted couldn't get closer than identifying it as Japanese anime. You make Jeopardy look like a walk in the park. LOL

You know what they say Poetess, "All's fair in love, war and trivia!" LOL

Poetess so I haven't charmed you sufficiently to elicit the answer?

Clearly, I will need to strive harder or are you wishing to send me to the world of anime afficiandos for the result?

You made the Poetess whimper? Hmmmm, you know I'm going to have to hear that from her as she doesn't strike me as someone who whimpers easily!

Ah, so we came to the truth! Well, how about this quote then:

"So this is how it ends for the greatest criminal mind of our time. Not with a whimper, mind you. Not with a bang."
