Peacekeeper...... bye Seeker of Clay

Peace Keeper

Each day she rises, showers, reaches for the coffee,
Then heads to her place of business; the streets,
Everyday she sees the worst of humanity,
Yet, she gives humanity back her best,
She simply calls duty what is a day of amazing feats.

She helps the lost, the needy, and shields us from harm,
She steps right in when there’s struggle and strife,
She goes places even hardened devils wouldn’t dare,
Yet, goes happily because it’s her love,
To Serve and Protect; Not a slogan, a way of life,

She’s called many names, with few of them decent,
Sometimes even her brothers don’t give her her due,
I call her a heroine in the classic sense,
An S. M. Burche riding a present day ,
A Peace Keeper, a heroine of a modern hue.
