The Fall Foliage Around my Cabin
The Fall colors are close to their peak in the Blue RIdge Mountains of Northern Virginia where I have built my little woodland hideaway. The lake has finally gotten too cold to swim in (as I found out yesterday when I got one hell of a brain freeze when I tried to do the backstroke -- lol). So the only water I'll be in while enjoying the fall colors until late next spring will be in my spa, unless I buy a wet suit. The view of the lake from the cabin side is on page 2. The amazing young woman who is my frequent companion in this magical place appears in the photo above and in a few others I have posted here and there, e.g. [post 872234] (it's among the comments). The deer whose antics amuse and fascinate me perform for you on page 2 as well.

The swimming is great. There's nothing like a crystal-clear, spring-fed lake right at your doorstep.

 That's where I am right now, trying to type on the keyboard of the antichrist. I'll be here until at least Thursday. My beautiful dancer is coming by to keep me company.
