Is that a boulder in your jeans, or do you just REALLY approve of the outfit? I heard a story not long ago about a man who went into a lingerie store, looking for some sexy boy-thongs as a surprise for his girlfriend. He asked the clerk if there was anything available for men. She just stared at him for a moment, then said, "Honey, ALL of this is for men!" It's curious that a few little scraps of lace and satin can send the male libido into the stratosphere. I doubt there is a man alive who doesn't like to see a woman wearing the stuff. And some men are so turned on by lingerie, they don't even care whether there's anyone inside it or not. I would even venture to say that most men probably find a woman sexier when she's wearing fancy lingerie than they do when she's wearing nothing at all. A curious phenomenon, wouldn't you agree?  We women generally like the stuff too, but our enjoyment is the pleasure of anticipating THAT look on his face (you know the look I mean, the one that suggests he's so overcome by lust that he can't even breathe...) Let's be honest, it doesn't exactly hurt a woman's ego to see her partner staring at her with naked desire written all over his face  And this is not something that's restricted to the BDSM crowd -- vanilla couples are no less, shall we say, enthusiastic. But it seems that there may be something of a BDSM dynamic involved here, nontheless. Men love lingerie, so women wear it. To the extent that women enjoy dressing up in naughty lingerie, we enjoy it because it makes us feel sexy. But the reason it makes us feel sexy is the way men look at us when they see us wearing it, as if we're the most desirable creature on the planet. When their pleasure is that obvious, it gives us pleasure too. All of this started me thinking about some of the other ways women in the vanilla world adapt their personal choices around pleasing men. We wear makeup, get our hair and nails "done", shave our body hair, select bras for their silhouette rather than for their comfort, force our feet into high-heeled shoes ... the list goes on. All of this for no real reason except that men like us that way. Vanilla women, being preoccupied with pleasing men, just as a good sub would be. Submissive women take this further, of course -- but it's an intriguing observation. Claim your power, submissive. You cannot give away that which you do not possess. |

Girl, you are absolutely correct. Being a guy who is a 100% bottom crossdresser, I love to wear lingerie for two reasons. One: I love the way it turns a man on. The clickity click sound of high heels as they hit the floor making a man's ears perk up, and him looking at me with those lust filled eyes as he takes me in with what I am wearing for him to enjoy, seeing the rise in his pants as he approves of my choice for his pleasure and the licking of his lips as he is thinking of what he is going to do to me once I get closer. Two: I love the way it feels on my soft smooth body. Making me so pretty and feminine. It is kind of funny though, going into a lingerie store. I went to Victoria's Secret over the weekend and was shopping for a new pair of black stockings. (VS is the only place I have found that carry a size tall stocking for my long legs) I looked all around the store untill I finally found the stockings. (it was a different VS then where I usually shop) A girl finally came up to me and asked if I needed any help and I started to ask her about the two different types of stockings. I picked out the black thigh highs with a line up the back. Then I decided to also ask about a garter belt as I dont have a black one. She led me over to some cute basic garter belts. I was looking at the one she pulled and asked her what size the M/L was actually. She asked what "her" panty size was. As I took them off the hanger and placed them up to my hips I told her a size 10/12 with a smile on my face. I think she kind of knew then they were for me and she said, with a smile on her face as well, that those would fit nicely as they were a little stretchy. I love the girls at VS as most of them are kind and the times I have gone in there dressed as a girl they were very helpful. But thats getting a little too much of me and off the topic. Yes I believe that most women do like the way lingerie makes them feel and gets the attention of their partner too.

As always badigrl a very well written and articulate blog. There are a couple of things about lingerie that one must always remember, with lingerie, most of it allows very easy access to the body it is covering and the second is men are very visual creatures. I love taking a submissive lingerie shopping and have her model things for me just to see the reactions on others in the store both men and women. Most lingerie is either transparent or translucent so the submissive is on display but not really naked which is very arousing for me and can have a very interesting effect on the sub. It can be a punishment if she does not like being on display or a source of great arousal. Again badgirl, a well written thought provoking blog PS I find it ironic that spell checker finds "blog" misspelled in a blog entry

I've got a running joke with the salesclerks in my favorite store about how many minutes I'll actually be allowed to WEAR my purchases...
