We Lost The Sea - Departure Songs

In the film Blood Fest, not to be confused with Blood Feast, is a woman in a shiny skirt; possibly vinyl of faux leather.

Best image that could be found:

Would be beating a dead by stating this continues the trend of leather becoming more commercialized; it's nothing new, everything becomes so, eventually.

But where it gets curious is this:

Found this through 'Grease" hashtags; people really love Grease, for some reason.
What does any of this have to do with "Grease?" It's sexy pants, fuck pumps, and possible racing. It permeates blandness yet people like it; sexy Wal-Mart Art.

Are we in the age of Ready Player One where all things are void of meaning? Nothing's sacred; nothing's reverent. A world where mainstream sex movies have zero sex; where rom-coms are applauded for being "modern" yet, below the surface, are the same as their counterparts from the 80s. And where Black Panther is considered for "Best Popular Film," a separate but equal Oscar.

And all this is met with thunderous applause because of a fresh new coat of paint over something and rusted that will eventually break down.

It must be aggravating to some to see essentially treat something with so little humility. A passion or a hobby or some well treasured lifestyle that had to remain hidden from public view for fear of scorn, ridicule, or violence. Yet where those secrets flourish feels real due to weight of risk and consequence; takes effort to stay true to yourself. And when you no longer have to hide, that euphoria of being accepted is all the more justified because it feels earned. But then the next generation comes along and views the same things with indifference and superficiality. That would anger some.

Youth is wasted on the young; that's proven. But as with all things grow up and eventually replace adults. And the concept of struggle is becoming more ethereal; it lasts as long as a trend cycle. So when you see the ceiling collapsing, the walls closing in, and the floor failing, yet the future is only caring if it's posted or diverse or solved by a YouTube video, you can only stand in disbelief and wonder when it's all coming to a head. When this digital facade finally clashes with reality.

"So now, less than five later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark—that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.”

STOP THE HATE!!!

You have SO got to get over that RP1 non lovin!

I think you are faking it and you secretly long for for the days when ninjas admit to hugs

Say it with me now.........

we love spielberg cheese

Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.
At night I gaze at the starry mass with no idea to which one the earth attached.
May'be that cute little one over there or that one that sits alone in the inky black

Admittedly, RP1 is an easy scapegoat. Things are losing meaning so when some giant flashy thing comes along being emblematic of that problem, it's fairly simple to point and proclaim "J'accuse."

Being younger, or at least slightly more optimistic, would yield a different response.
