Letting go and seeing where I land

So after waiting and hoping for all these months, we both finally realized that Andrew and Suzy happily ever after just wasn't going to happen. His company merger didn't work out so he won't be moving back east, and I can't move out to join him, so we mutually decided to move on. We'll still get together for a date when he's in town if we're both single and available, but the wedding dream has to be put aside, at least for now.

When Valentine's Day came this year, I was a little down since I didn't really know where my love life was going. I took the day off and had a nice surprise when a beautiful bouquet arrived from Adam. I knew that he'd be spending the day with his girlfriend but I thought the flowers were very sweet. A little while later, a dozen roses were delivered with an unsigned card that said, 'You'll always be the one for me'. I knew those were from Andrew, and I could feel my eyes start to tear up a little.

I poured myself a glass of wine and curled up on the sofa under a blanket. Then Steve called and asked if I had plans for the evening. I let him know that I would be very happy to see him, so we made a date for 7.

I was showered, shaved and ready at 6:30, and that half hour wait took forever.

Right on time, I heard his knock, opened the door and there he was, with more flowers (I so love it when a man gets me flowers) and a bottle of wine. It was so nice to see his smiling face and feel his soft, warm lips on mine. Maybe I was just lonely and looking for it, or maybe he could see that I needed to be with someone, but he seemed especially attentive and romantic.

After a few drinks we were both relaxed and ready to take the evening to a better place. He was the one who came to see me on this special day for lovers, so I decided to show him how much it meant to me. Unfortunately it was one of those nights where, no matter how much I wanted it, I couldn't imagine having anything up my butt (if you know what I mean), so I proceeded to give him the sweetest, most loving blowjob that I possibly could.

By the way he reacted to me worshipping his cock, I had a feeling that he felt the passion that I was putting into my effort.

He finally erupted and gave me the Valentine's Day present I really needed. Actually, what I needed was just to feel loved, wanted and appreciated, and that's really what he gave me. I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of each other in the future.

to let him know how much I appreciate him.
Well, there is another way to show my gratitude, too, but he has to do the work!

Sorry to hear that things haven't worked out for you and Andrew. That's the problem with the world it gets in the way of all your plans.

It was great that you had someone special to spend Valentines Day with and the amount of flowers you received shows how many people care and love you

Just out of interest how are you getting on with your New Years Resolutions? I hope that you haven't blown them all.

Jo xx

Jo,
No, I've only blown Steve and Adam. (I like what you did there! )

And thanks for the kind words. Another of my resolutions is to stop worrying about things I can't control and just go with whatever happens. I'm getting a little better at that.

I hope you are well and having a good year!

Hugs,
Suzy

I just noticed that various words and letters were missing from this post. Hmm, it looked fine when I entered it. Oh well, don't sweat the small stuff. At least we have the edit feature to make it all better. I can think of a couple of times where I could use something like that for my life!
