We got our first snow last night. And so it begins .....

It wasn't much snow at all. It didn't even stick in a lot of areas, but since it did cover the car with maybe 1/4", I suppose it counts.

Yeah, and as a snow shoveling volunteer in your town-homes community, you did have to shovel a stretch of sidewalk.

Nothing to write home about, but I suppose that counts too. I get it done early before the dog walkers pack it down..

Gawd, the wind blew like a motherfucker last night too!

Uh, yeah. When I opened the front door, I was greeted with a big pile of leaves. FUCK! Now I have to get them swept up and into the compost bin.

I don't think we ought to be bitching though. I understand many areas of the country are supposed to really get some serious snow.

Considering that, consider My bitching over.

Are we gonna wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving?

For sure .... And I hope there'll be a lot of stuffing going on.

We had our first snowfall a couple weeks ago, and I will fully admit I still hated it. There is no charm to cold and snow....and it's not easy to find any beauty in it.
I had to shovel my walk a few times...and yep, I still hate that too.

You volunteer to shovel? That is sweet. I have a very old widow who lives next door to me. She is mean, omg so mean. Yet, I keep acknowledging her age, and I shovel her sidewalk every time. That is the end of my snow volunteering lol.

You found parts of me I didn’t know existed and in you I found a love I no longer believed was real.

Yes, there are probably ten of us that shovel the sidewalks throughout the complex.

There are also a few elderly ladies here that get their driveways shoveled by neighbors/volunteers, etc.

Yeah .... A good bunch of people here.

That's very neighborly of you to shovel 'Crabby Appletons's' sidewalk for her.

Suppose the chump will even 'get it'?

A chump only 'gets' things once in a blue moon.....

We had our first real snow last night into this morning, a lot of wind and hard pack on the roads making it an ice skating rink. Far to early for this...…….

Plzrmeister replies on 11/27/2019 9:53 am:
No snow pack on the roads here.... Not enough snow this time to make the roads slick at all.

But the first time they are slick, there is an abundant supply of nincompoops who slide off the road. It never ceases to amaze Me!

Yeah .... It's just so difficult to think through driving on slick roads. "You mean it's a good idea to slowdown?"

Boise is one of the fastest growing cities in the USA and a lot of people are coming from warm weather areas where they don't deal with driving on snow.

The first trip to the body shop usually clues them in.

One would hope.

there has been a lot of crazy weather this year

Yeah, there has been. My daughter sent a photo from Redmond, OR yesterday and they are getting buried in snow.

Seriously buried! I hope Boise can dodge the winter storm bullet .... I want Thanksgiving to be a mellow day, which doesn't include any snow shoveling.
