 If any of you here in the peanut gallery have ever driven on a four lane .. or more .. freeway, you know this person. The moron who drives at least ten miles slower than the posted speed limit and does so in the left .. as in passing .. lane.

Yeah - THAT dumb ass. Far be it for them to get over in the right lane so that people can pass them on the left .... you know - sorta like the rules of driving dictate. Even when numerous vehicles pass them on the right, it still never occurs to them to change lanes.

We've all done it haven't we? When we pass them in the right hand lane, we've glanced over at them to give them 'That Look' ... or, in some cases, 'That Finger' or a blast of the horn. Of course most of the time they don't even notice, as they're normally hunkered down behind the steering wheel staring straight ahead in some sort of stupidity trance.

For some reason, the act of driving causes some people's brains to click off or dial back a few clicks. It seems the younger you are, the more chances you take. The older you are .... when does senility kick in? ... the more chances you make others around you take. The peanut gallery knows of what I speak. Each of you have your own stories and pet peeves of the road.

 When I drove truck otr I loved it we someone would pass me up then pull in the lane I was in then slow down then when id try to pass them they'd speed up so I went back in the right lane and they'd slow up again ... id get in the middle or left lane and stay there sometimes id get passed them

Yep ... I know what you mean. They pass and then slow down so you have to pass them again. It's like a fucking game of leap frog.

What about the ones who pass you and then make a right turn within the next fifty yards... What - YOu can't drive behind me another fifty yards?!?! - You gotta pass and almost cut me off???

 oh yes!! otr trucker here too. there are several more irritating things clueless drivers do.. number "1" being TELEPHONES"....

I don't know how many traffic deaths cell phones have caused, but it's a butt load!

I so love it when you're waiting at a red light and when the light turns green, there's always several people looking at their fucking phone and slowing things up. Most of the time you have to wait through another red light.

 Well over here in the UK on our motorways, (freeways), we drive on the other
side of the road, so we overtake on the right.

You don't seem to get people driving below the limit in the right hand lane.
What you do get is someone sitting in the righthand lane doing say 10 miles
an hour faster than the limit, but they won't get out of the way for the guy who
comes up behind them doing say 20 miles an hour faster than the limit.
Their attitude seems to be; "I'm doing 10miles an hour faster than the speed
limit & that's fast enough for anyone!" Like they have the right to determine how
much beyond the speed limit is acceptable.

Yeah that overtake you & slow down thing is annoying. I had that on Wednesday,
& I know it wasn't me because I'd set the speed on the car. So my car was
traveling at a constant pace.

Mobile phones, (cell phones) are a mence in a car. It's an offence to use one
while you are driving in the UK unless you are using a hands free system.
Police have been known to use trucks to look down into cars to see & film people
using them without hands free. Then of course they contact a police car to pull
you over. Good job too.

I agree ... Regardless of which lane is the passing lane, if you're in it and someone going faster comes up behind you .... Move over!!!!

Hands free cell phones work much better than hand held - No contest there. Unfortunately, they still detract from the driver giving driving 100% of their attention.
