I couldn't tell you the difference between jelly and jam to save my life. As long as either is going on a sandwich with extra crunchy peanut butter, I could care less. I'm sure someone out there will educate me on the subject.

Well that someone ain't gonna be me, because I don't have a clue either. I do agree with your assessment of the peanut butter though. I've never been one for the smooth variety - I don't get the point. Give me crunchy or give me death ,,,,, Well, maybe not to that extreme.

Moving back to the subject of this blog .... I found this meme pretty funny. The next time I'm in a market that carries both of these products, I just might have to pull this one off myself. I think a shopper or two might see the humor.

I'm thinking I might have to get in on that prank too. I've got a dollar that says a reader or two might just pull off the same stunt. Hey, let your hair down once in a while and have a little fun!

I didn't realize there was a 'warming' KY jelly. The things one learns around here.

You use jam instead of KY ..... Hmmmmmm

By the way, don't make preserves an orphan.

Plzrmeister replies on 10/25/2023 10:01 am:
Or marmalade too, I'd think. Jelly - Jam - Preserves .... Now I'm really confused about all the differences.

Geez .... Just make our heads hurt why don't ya!

I believe it's all in the 'SHAKE" like Glenn Miller & His Orchestra played and sang..."Must be jelly 'cause Jam don't shake like that.
Must be Jelly 'cause Jam don't shake like that.
I love you 'cause you're so big and fat..."

Plzrmeister replies on 10/25/2023 10:03 am:
Well there's one difference - The shake factor.

Glenn Miller? That certainly takes us back to a different time ....

Was it at least the edible version?? Ha!

Jelly is made from juice, jam is made from smashing the fruit, and preserves are made from whole or parts of the fruit. Think of it like orange juice. Do you like no pulp, some pulp, or high pulp?

Just My $0.02... Take it for what it cost you...

Well there ya go .... Now we know the difference and how each one is made. Thanks for the tutorial!

And yet we know nothing of how KY Jelly is made.
