If memory serves, it seems the women's liberation movement started in the early 70's. Anyone recognize the following lyrics? Yes, I am wise But it's wisdom born of pain Yes, I've paid the price But look how much I've gained If I have to, I can do anything I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible) I am woman Yeah .... There's from 'I Am Woman' by Helen Reddy in 1972. For lack of a better term, it was sort of the theme song for the movement - Great song too! Sadly, Helen passed away in 2020. I can still see her pretty face bellowing out the lyrics many moons ago. If you've never heard the song, get thee to the 'Tube' and watch it. The movement changed the environment for women in many parts of the world. Many might argue women's struggles continue to this day .... Let's not get into that particular debate though. I prefer we keep our blogs 'light' .... You got that right! There were many many strong women prior to the women's liberation movement ... Too many to mention. If nothing else, women proved their metal during World War II when they helped build our war machines while most of the men were away at war. Think 'Rosie the Riveter'. I'm thinking there have been strong women since the dawn of time ...... [image] Make Women Female Again

As I was told the Woman's Lib movement was an agenda to get women in the workforce for more taxes to be paid, to the government. They had proved during WW2 that they could work.

I was all for the Women's Lib movement but, as with most other movements, the radicals infiltrate and give it all a bad name.
