Everyone loves a compliment - Right? Actually, I think we all love getting them as well as giving them. As such, I try to give them often.

Yeah, compliments are good for the soul I think .... You can either have your day brightened or brighten someone else's. Hearing or telling someone "Good job!" really hits the spot doesn't it?

Around here, one can hear a lot of compliments being given ..... Although a lot of them might be along the lines of "Nice ass!" or complimenting another body part. People also get compliments on the contents of their blogs, etc.

I think women particularly enjoy being complimented. "You look beautiful" or "I love your hair" can go a long ways and earn serious brownie points. So let's all try to look on people's bright sides and pass out a lot of compliments. It takes so little effort to lift someone up.....

Some have trouble hearing or accepting compliments. I was one of those people for a while, but learned to appreciate them. I enjoy it when someone takes the moment and the effort to pay a compliment.

I also love to pay one, when there is an opportunity. A small gesture to me, but may mean so much more to the receiver. You just never know where someone is at in their head and it could make a positive difference.

Ars longa, vita brevis - Art is long, life is short

Wow ... This reminds me so much of something a cousin said to me one time. Trying to be funny, I was commenting on Walmart 'greeters' and said something to the effect of "Don't ya just want to punch them?" She pointed out that the "Hello" they give out might just be the only social interaction some lonely/alone people get all day.

That hit home and I've never forgotten it. Thanks for reminding me.

A "kind" word is always a GOOD word spoken, there needs to be more of them said, especially in today's world.

I couldn't agree more .... Far too many ugly words bouncing around out there.

You got that right. The art of being 'civil' with one another seems a hard concept for many to grasp.

I know when I hear "good girl" I get all warm inside

I bet that's at the top of a lot of submissive's list for 'best' compliment that can be received.

You know it's a good compliment when you get a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Agreed ... Very easy and undoubtedly puts that person in a "pass it forward" mode to brighten others' days.

Great post!!!!

I love giving compliments, as much as i like getting one.

Here, most people act real strange, when i give them a compliment,
they get hostile!

Can you inmaging that!!

So, here, i almost stopped giving compliments, waste of time, energy and kindness...

Plzrmeister replies on 1/16/2024 8:21 am:
If people get hostile from receiving a compliment, they has issues ...

They certainly do .... Don't let them discourage you from handing them out.
