I tend to not be too 'deep' of a thinker. I can read this meme and think ""OK, I suppose that's one way of thinking about things" without the need to analyze whether it's right or wrong or whether I agree with it or not ... yada, yada. I know a lot of people enjoy slicing and dicing such a statement and running it through their view of the world & relationships. Whatever floats their boat ..... You and me both dude. There are many many 'profound' statements about life floating around out there. Like you, for the most part I'll read them and say, "Yeah, whatever" and move on. Every now and then, there's a quote that hits home and I can relate to. These are mainly what I consider factual quotations and not philosophical gibberish. For example, Will Rogers said, "Everyone is ignorant, only on different subjects.". I hear ya. That quote doesn't take too much deep thinking to understand or ponder - It can stand on its own two feet without the need for 'deep' thought and analysis. Chances are a reader here will say, "Au contraire .... That statement can be viewed in many different lights." People like to set other people straight a lot of the time. If you're a deep thinker, there's no escape from an opportunity to do so I suppose. My dad once told me that for every short quip in the world, there's one that is equal and opposite. For example, we all know "The early bird gets the worm" ... We also know "Haste makes waste" ... The deep thinkers will have to educate us on which one is right. LOL /COLOR] Make Women Female Again

I suppose I'm one of those that do the "yeah right". I just can't be so serious and philosophical all the time.

I think about a quote when it rings true to me. It doesn't necessarily mean it is true, only that it offers a different perspective that within my experience connects the dots making visible what was previously unseen. Usually results in my thinking, "I get that."

"The early bird gets the worm" ... We also know "Haste makes waste" ... The deep thinkers will have to educate us on which one is right. If you don't have time to do it right the first time . . How will you find time to do it a second time? The deep thinker would think less of the good luck of the early bird, an more of the bad luck of the early worm.

The early bird does not get anything, Because the soil is mostly, still too cold, for the worm to crawl up to the higher levels of soil.... 🤪😜 🤣😂🤣
