Somewhere along my path in life, I heard the following sage advice ..... "If you're going to have any regrets in life, have them be for things you did - Not for thing you wished you'd done." That words have always stuck with me.

It's good advice. I'm sure all of us can look back at times in our lives when we can say "I should have ...." or "I wish I would have ..." Now we never know what the outcome may have been because we didn't 'do this' or 'say that'.

Well, we're still above ground, so we can take our own advice moving forward. The next time any of us gets into a situation where we're unsure which path to take because we're a little scared, hesitant, shy or whatever ..... We can hopefully draw upon this advice and 'Just Do It'.

Yeah ... Of course all of us have to keep our heads screwed on straight and use discretion too. I'm sure everyone has heard the saying 'Discretion is the better part of valor'. If you're considering doing something dangerous and unnecessary - Be very careful. I'd hate for anyone here to receive a Darwin Award

A friend has been lamenting the changes made to our once sleepy little fishing town. Yes, I miss the good old days but I rejoice in knowing that I was able to be part of those good old days.

I mostly grew up in a sleepy farming/ranching community. The sign on the highway leading to town indicated the population was 4,208. I doubt the population has changed too much over the years.

I love going over to visit occasionally .... Memories abound everywhere.

I agree.

There are times when the number of possible outcomes is so vast that it's difficult to imagine them all. In such situations, using your discretion and taking the first step is the only viable option.
Being indecisive and frozen can often lead to unfavorable outcomes.

In the end, have faith that you can adjust to whatever befalls you.

One never knows where the path leads unless you travel down it a ways. You have to take that first step - which can put you in front of some 'unknowns', but that's what makes life ...ummm life.

It's like the poem 'The Road Not Taken' by Robert Frost. One can play it safe, or one can venture off the beaten path.

I totally agree with that, I too would much rather regret things I did. That is why I packed up and moved. I needed a change, otherwise I would have found myself in the same place, not happy, five years from now. I now have a new market from which to select my life choices. I am not sure where this new chapter will take me, but I am trying to remain open to the possibilities.

Bravo! I applaud you for taking a leap of faith ...

It may work and it may not, but you took the chance. You never have to look back and say "I wish I would have ....."

It is what I did when booked my summer vacation. I just did it, even if I did not feel completely comfortable with going alone, for safety reasons, but then I thought if I kept waiting for the company, for the better safer times to come, for my confidence to rise a little higher... then I would probably go on that vacation - never...
Fingers crossed all goes well anyway... as they say - fortune favours the bold...

Good for you! You took a leap of faith and will never have to wonder "What if.....". I have little doubt you'll have the time of your life - Have you bought that hat yet for the beach?

The hat???? Screw that, I wanna see Ex in her swim attire! You're perhaps looking into nude beaches?
