This might land us in some deep doo-doo with some people - Particularly the ladies in the room - but I'm gonna say it anyway. I don't know when it started, but there seems to a real proliferation of tattoos on women and I personally don't find it particularly attractive. It's their body and their choice - Duh - but I get to feel how I feel - Right?

I hear you bro. I too don't find tattoos on women particularly attractive. Let's make a little differentiation here .... There are the smaller tattoos on an ankle or somewhere 'normally' out of sight. Then there are the situations where one arm or one leg (or more) are covered in tattoos. Uh - No thank you - I find that unattractive. I know, I know - Who am I to judge or something along that line. I'm merely relating what I do and don't find attractive.

Yeah, a smaller tattoo normally doesn't bother me, depending on its location. Let's take the meme for example. Is this one I'd suggest my significant other get for me? Nyet. If I took her panties off and encountered this, would I become limp? Uh - No ..... I find it equally unique, funny and sexy. There's no accounting for taste is there? Besides, it's on such a gorgeous pussy! (Gawd - Did I really just say that?).

Yeah - You said it - Now go wash your mouth out with soap. I agree - I don't find this tattoo objectionable either. Now if she had this safety pin tattooed completely down her stomach, an arm or a leg .... Well, that's a different story. Every day there are photos of old Playboy pinups posted here in the blogs - Notice any tattoos? Me either ... and I like it that way. OK .... Go arrange a firing squad for me now.

All part of thug life

Plzrmeister replies on 3/7/2024 5:32 am:
I'd have to think that there are few 'thugs' without tattoos these days, although tattoo doesn't equal thug.

I will NEVER understand why anyone would get their face covered, or mostly covered, with tattoos.

I agree with you, Plzrmeister! Tattoos are mostly a turn-off for me - except as you noted, a small, discrete thing that's sort of out of sight. But a "tramp stamp", or a "sleeve", or tattoos that cover major parts of the torso or limbs - no thanks. In fact, an excessively large tattoo can be a deal breaker.

Plzrmeister replies on 3/7/2024 6:24 am:
It would appear we're on the same wavelength .... Yes - A large tattoo .... Not my cup of tea.

My thought is that people who get these types of tattoos will seriously regret it one day. Who knows - Their choice.

I've seen some beautiful tattoos on the girls here. With the warm weather those tattoos are out and proud and I can't help commenting to the individual on the ink. What I thought was a nice sized one behind my left shoulder now pales in comparison.

Plzrmeister replies on 3/7/2024 8:34 am:
Yes, they're certainly socially acceptable nowadays, but I simply can't get into them - regardless of how beautiful they might be.

Give me nice clear skin any day.

beauty is skin deep

Plzrmeister replies on 3/7/2024 8:37 am:
I know they say that, but people can be beautiful inside and out, can't they?

I prefer the outside beauty to be 'natural' not a canvas.

I believe anyone has the freedom to decorate themselves however they wish. But an illustrated woman is not for me.
Good point on the Playboy bunnies, rarely a tat. Also, I may be incorrect but I'd wager that tats throughout the 20th century were only predominant in criminal and biker gangs, prisons, and among sailors. The first three groups used it like uniforms, the sailors so loved their anchors.

If one is determined to get inked, carefully pick a design you want to be permanently associated with. I worked with a guy who had a tattoo of his ex's name on a heart and he had it removed. When he told me how painful and difficult the procedure was, I remember thinking I would rather find a woman with the same name!

Bottom line I'm standing with my yellow and green buddies facing the firing squad.

A comrade in arms ... Thankfully, nobody yet has 'flamed' us too much or wanted to skin us alive!

One drunken night when I was in Japan & the USMC, a group of us were literally marching (in cadence) back to base and decided we needed a tattoo. Fortunately, I was last in line and had sobered up by the time it was my turn. I don't have the Marine Bulldog on my shoulder, but I was damn close.....

Growing up, my parents told me "You don't put a bumper sticker on a Bentley" meaning, you're not getting a tattoo. To each their own but I personally think it has gone to far.

Plzrmeister replies on 3/7/2024 8:49 am:
I totally agree .... As grywolf2 pointed out, an illustrated woman isn't for me. Women are far too beautiful naturally. Perhaps a carnival?

Oooooo ..... Now you've stepped in it! That was a little out of line - even for you!

I am with you on this, Plzr.
There was though the time I though if I ever consider doing it, it would be either if my partner and I decide to put a little initial or something in some discrete way and place, or if I decide to put the first letter of my sons name on my ankle, for example, or the back of my neck... just a tiny "A" 😊
But nothing more or bigger than that...
So far, I am an empty canvas 😁

Plzrmeister replies on 3/7/2024 10:31 am:
So you're saying you don't have this safety pin tattooed on your most discreet feature?

Gawd you're embarrassing! Glad we're in synch Ex - Keep your lovely body unadulterated with anything other than a small tattoo. Food for thought ..... Might I suggest a small red heart on either of the locations you mentioned? You would then have a huge heart on the inside and a small heart on the outside.

As you say, it's absolutly the individuals choice.
However, I agree with you, I don't find it attractive either.
Does a tattoo enhance the view? Not in my opinion.

I had to laugh at grywolf's reference to criminals & sailors.
I think in the late 1800's or early 1900's it was quite popular with British &
European royality & aristocrats.

Bernadotte, one of Nepolean's generals, had 'Death to Kings' tattooed across
his chest. He later became King of Sweden & Norway!

If the two of you & grywolf will make some room, I'll join you in front of
the firing squad.

Is that picture a tattoo or is it a computer generated (CG) graphic?

I have no clue if it's real or it's Memorex.

Me either.

As someone who has a great appreciation for the art of tattooing, I have been fortunate enough to witness some truly exceptional pieces created by some of the most skilled tattoo artists out there. In my own personal collection, I have two tattoos that hold a special significance for me, both of which are discreetly placed and only visible when I am undressed. The intricate designs and attention to detail make them truly unique and beautiful, and I take great pride in the fact that they are a part of me.

Throughout my life, I have come to the realization that every individual has their own unique set of beliefs, preferences, and choices that make them who they are. I strongly believe that it's important to respect these differences and allow others to live their lives in a way that is true to themselves. Therefore, I have always held the belief that people should have the freedom to make their own choices and pursue their own interests, without fear of judgment or criticism from others. After all, it's our differences that make us interesting and allow us to grow and learn from one another

Great Topic!

I agree and I don't 'think' my blog or comments to the comments I received did so. I was stating my opinion on the subject, as did many others. As the first sentence in your second paragraph indicates .....

Every individual has their own unique set of beliefs, preferences, and choices that make them who they are.

I'm going to play the 'preference' card here ....

I'll play mine too. I'll stand by all my comments - I wouldn't ever criticize someone for their choices about tattoos. WAIT! I would criticize those that get tattoos all over their face. WTF are you thinking!!!!! OK, fine. March me out and shoot me now.

Yes, sailors, criminals, bikers, prisoners, all had tatoos, it was like their brand, mark, so to say.

I like tattoos, dont have one.
I woud like it, when my partner to be, and i choose the tatttoo and its discreet place, om my body.

A sleeve?, beautiful.
if it is one piece and not some not fitting pictures put together, of their dog, house, knife, or what ever.
BUT, still it is the individuals choice to do so..
It wont be a deal breaker, perse..

not in the face or hands, please.

Plzrmeister replies on 3/9/2024 4:15 am:
Yes, I have seen some arms and/or legs full of tattoos of seemingly random things/items. WTF!!! Their choice - Yes. My opinion - Ugly ....

Hands? Generally speaking, I don't care for tattooing them either. A tattooed ring? That works.
