So is St.. Patrick's Day a fun holiday or what? I can only imagine what the bars looked like last night ....Perhaps tonight too. Suppose any green beer got served? I remember the good ol days of my youth when getting knee walking, cammode hugging drunk was SOP for St. Patty's.

Being a dyed in the wool Notre Dame fan ( Go IRISH! ) St. Patrick's Day holds a special place in my heart. As an IRISH fan, the only cereal I eat is Lucky Charms and Fighting IRISH Spring is my soap of choice. Plus ... Is there anything cooler than a leprechaun and finding gold at the end of the rainbow ...... C'mon man!

Gawd ... You're weird. And I suppose your favorite song is 'When IRISH eyes are smiling' or perhaps 'Oh Danny Boy'? Sheesh.... Ya better be wearing some green today peanut gallery, or you might be getting pinched .... and here's the reason why in the meme. This is IRISH folklore I wasn't aware of before about a week ago.

Weird ... Hey, here's a thought - Fuck you! Actually my favorite song if the Notre Dame Victory March .... Is there anyone who doesn't recognize that song?? I think not. Another thing ... Is there any cooler dancing on Earth than IRISH clogging? Not a chance and I could watch it for hours. Don't even get me started on bagpipes ...... Is it possible to 'identify' as being IRISH?

I fondly remember my Grandfather singing "When Irish Eyes are Smiling" in that big baritone of his.

Sure, 'tis like a morn' in Spring
In the lilt of Irish laughter
You can hear the angels sing....
What a great song!

Oh yeah? Well what about 'Wake up the echoes cheering her name ...'

Slainte!

Plzrmeister replies on 3/17/2024 8:26 am:
Sláinte means "health" in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic. It is commonly used as a drinking toast in Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man. However, the toast is also increasingly being used in other countries within the whisky community.

A public service announcement.

Steal a leprechaun's gold and they do more than pinch you.

I hear they hate the smell of that Irish Sring soap, it repels them like silver to werewolves or garlic to vampires.

Plzrmeister replies on 3/17/2024 10:14 am:
Moi? Steal? I'll just divert his attention with a female leprechaun. Speaking of that .... Why do we never see female leprechauns depicted?

The soap? I guess I'll never have to worry about being pinched in the shower!

" Why do we never see female leprechauns depicted?"

Great question. I searched the internet for any historical accounts. There are no female leprechauns mentioned throughout recorded history. They're magical, so you'd think they could create a woman. Perhaps they lack cocks?

No wonder the leprechauns are so nasty.

Plzrmeister replies on 3/17/2024 12:03 pm:
Know what else? I don't recall ever seeing a picture of more than one leprechaun at a time. They're not like fairies that sometimes congregate in groups ... They are solitary little dudes.

Do you suppose there's actually only one leprechaun? So many questions, so little time.

ha! I had my Lucky Charms this morning for the first time in many years. They were as good as I remember! And now I feel lucky.

Plzrmeister replies on 3/18/2024 4:48 am:
They're magically delicious! Always good to start the day feeling lucky.

How come they don't put prizes/toys at the bottom of cereal boxes anymore?

'My kilt would have to be draggin the ground.'
You're the one that brought up 'Leprechauns', but you didn't mention you are one! That would CERTAINLY explain your 'kilt draggin' the ground'...

Plzrmeister replies on 3/18/2024 4:50 am:
Leprechauns wear kilts?

Just how tall is a leprechaun supposed to be do ya figure?
