Happy Easter everyone! The meme brings back fond childhood memories of getting up in the morning to be greeted by an Easter basket filled with goodies. Later in the morning my sisters and I would start out on the Easter Egg hunt for all the eggs my mom had hidden around the house. I remember. At my house we went to church before hunting for the hidden eggs and afterwards was the Easter feast my mom would prepare. Those were certainly some innocent times from my youth I look back on fondly. I did the same things for my daughter when she was growing up ... Well, except for the going to church part.  Yeah .... Now there's pretty much nothing going on for Easter other than to enjoy the beautiful day we're expected to have today. I bought some perennials at the store yesterday, so I'll have some gardening to do and this afternoon it's off to my favorite steakhouse for a delicious meal. No family gathering of any sort this year. I hope each of you has a wonderful Easter Sunday! IMy hope is the same for all of you. Also try to take a moment or two to reflect upon the meaning of today and what it represents. Even if you're not a believer, you can still reflect on our blessings - Right?  I'm going to start making one of my cheesecakes today .... It a 'process' that takes a couple of days, so time to get started. Make Women Female Again

We always went to midnight mass so there was no getting up early. We were always all dressed up for Easter and I even had a bonnet. Happy Easter!
