I've seen rumblings on the internet indicating the cost of auto insurance is rising at an extraordinary pace. My policy doesn't come up for renewal until October, so I guess I'll have to hold my breath until then. I have my auto, homeowners, rental duplex and umbrella policies with the same company, so hopefully the quantity discount will help out. Yeah, the quantity discount should help, not to mention paying the whole year on the front end rather than monthly/quarterly installments. Not having any claims of any sort comes in handy too. I think those rumblings you heard apply to more than just auto insurance - All insurance rates are headed upwards. Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast nowadays. Well at least I've never been in a car accident and I haven't gotten a ticket for many many moons, so that's gotta factor in - One would think at least. The person in the meme has got some explaining to do, don't they? Actually I think what happened is fairly self explanatory. I bet the driver got a little ( a lot? ) distracted by what was happening in their passenger seat and got into a fender bender or drove into a tree, or something. Thankfully in Florida with the windshield one just has to call a glass company and they will deal with the insurance if one has full coverage

I know it's my choice to live by the ocean but robbing me blind with homeowners insurance is not quite fair!!

Don't know if you have this 'keyless go' system on your cars over there. Where you don't need to press a button on a remote, just walk up to the car key/card in your pocket & it unlocks. A lot of car thefts in the UK are down to this flawed system. The crooks have hi tech devices that record the signals & allow them to send the signal back to the car, unlocking it for them. If they can't fix this flawed system they need to ditch it & go back to normal remotes. It's driving up insurance prices in the UK, maybe in the US. too, if you have it.
