It's been many many moons since I've applied cologne to this face. Hey guys in the peanut gallery - You splash any cologne on your faces? When I was in high school and college, English Leather was my cologne of choice. Post college I used it too and then quite using any cologne, except on rare occasions.

Yeah, English Leather is where it's at as far as I'm concerned. When we lived at Ft. Rucker, AL our neighbors had a son who worn English Leather. I was in maybe 6th or 7th grade and he was in high school .... I remember I liked the smell of it and adopted it as the only cologne I would ever use. Now I just smell like Fighting Irish Spring soap after I shower.

How about you ladies out there ... Do you have a favorite scent you like to smell on your man or do you prefer just shower fresh? It's been so long since I've even thought about cologne, I'm not even familiar with all the brands out there now.

Don't know and don't care. I have my bottle of English Leather available if I ever need to use cologne. I suppose I might switch to WD-40 if it loosens up women the way the meme would indicate.

So where are you applying the WD-40?

Something a little tight, is it?

I sampled a sniff of my father's Old Spice when I was 10 or 12.

That was nasty and steered me clear of cologne.

Yeah, that did have an odd smell to it. I got it as a present at one point in time and never used it.

I remember the old TV commercials for Old Spice .... Pretty kewl.

I can totally appreciate shower fresh. There used to be a scent called Paul Sebastian that used to be very lovely to my senses. I am not even sure if they still make it or not.

You're in luck .... Just checked Amazoom and they sell it.

It can become 'required application' for your muse(s) when you so desire.

I like the more dark strong, what most consider male
colonge,
It has to go well, with your body odour, your natural odour, that is.

When my neighbhours go to visit someone, he alllways smells as if he poured the whole bottle on him,
Terrible! stink! Makes me cough! like mad!!
some terrible cheap odour...

Yes, the aroma from cologne or perfume needs to be subtle. Too much is a total turn off.

I second that motion.

Paul Sabastian holds a special place in my heart. It's a fragrance that my children's father used to wear, and now, my older son has taken to using it. Whenever I catch a whiff of it, it's like a flood of memories come rushing back. I have a particular fondness for this scent and even used to buy it for my past partners. However, I've learned that the way it smells varies from person to person due to differences in pheromones. Nonetheless, it still remains a fragrance that holds a special place in my heart due to the memories it evokes.

Another vote for Paul Sebastian .... I'd never even heard of it until this blog. Must be some good stuff....

Yes, I think many colognes & perfumes smell a tad different on different people. The sense of smell ...... It can certainly affect our brains and evoke memories.
