My New Buddy Part II

Back in January, I blogged about 'My New Buddy'. In summary, I had noticed a half starved freezing cold (weather was abysmal at that time) cat at one of the car dealerships I work at. It was hiding/living under a storage shed belonging to a nearby church. I 'adopted' the cat and began bringing it food.

One day, after I'd been feeding it for about three weeks, I ran into a church worker as I was placing food under the shed. I wasn't sure if they were fond of having a stray cat around, so I sort of said, "I'm just feeding a stray cat I happened to notice here - Is that OK?" He said he had noticed the cat a few times and had wondered if it would survive, given the weather and snow pack. Then he said, "Yeah, you can feed it if you want to".

Fast forward another month. As I was again placing food under the shed, I ran into the same guy. He said, "I saw your cat the other day and 'Man does he look different and healthy'". I said, "Yeah, it's funny how that will happen when it's got something to eat". This made Me feel good, since I hadn't seen the cat since the initial contact .... But the food I put there was always gone.

I'm on My third bag of cat food now and I did see My buddy this past Monday sunning himself. He/she did look good! I parked My work van and slowly walked over to where it was, yet when it noticed Me it scurried under a building. Some way to treat it's benefactor! LOL.

Yeah, I'm sure he's tickled to have food delivered to him regularly .... Hell, I'd like that too. I hope that 'he' isn't a 'she' and that I'll have kittens to worry about too.

I'm a cat lover too .... Well, actually all animals. I have a soft heart for them.
