sooo what happened to global warming again? as I sit in my kitchen and see it is like 17 degrees outside, I wonder what happened to all that global warming... I know they now call it " climate change"....but where are all the ice bergs melting and the drowning polar bears( yes I know they can swim)? I bring this up because trump wants to know what people in the state dept are working on global warming projects...obama refuses to give up this information |

why the hell are you asking people on a BDSM website? Ask a scientist or go to school. If you don't believe science for political reasons, you are already to far gone for it matter. Seriously... if you believe it's a government conspiracy, you may be a low watt gurgler in a high backed chair, and no, I'm not being politically correct. i wrongly assumed that people who claim to be well educated people and reasonable, and are so secure in their opinions the rightness of global warming/climate change would not have revealed themselves to have reasoning skills of a bully and committed a host of errors in logic. Agree or disagree,, some civility would have been preferable, but you know, such incredible intelligence and education reduced to the tactics of a bully is so very telling about who you are dealing with. ============================ As for the poster of this blog, if you are going to disagree with global warming, by bringing up the cold weather out, you can be guaranteed to be laughed off. Use a better argument to back up why you do not favour global warming. There are some interesting arguments out there, and as well, good research. Maybe you meant it tongue in cheek, but by the reaction of those who vehemently and rudely disagreed with you, you might wish to engage more seriously on your views. One has to differentiate two kinds of weather changes and the combination of both. The natural change of climate performs a constant up and down of little warmages and iceages between the great iceages - each lasting for some decades or about one or two hundred years. Both are defined by less changes of the average temperatures per annum - 2-3° are enough to cause severe effects like changes in flora/fauna and cause whole regions to become deserts or get overflowed. The southern part of the Sahara was fertile land some thousands years ago and the northern part of Africa was the "crop chamber" of the Roman Empire. Greenland got its name by being green land (not at all, but about hundred miles deep along its borders) in the early Viking Age. Earth passed a small iceage in the last century and is now climbing up to the climax of a small warmage since three decades. A warmage does not mean lack of seasons or lack of strong frost and snow in winter. The man made change of climate is caused by industrial pollution, agricultural and forestal depletion and other methods of overexploitation. The historical confirmed results can be recognized in different regions all over the world. Check out for the "Lueneburg Heath" in Germany - the heath is artificial caused, in medival times it was a great region of forests. Total depletion caused massive erosion and ruined the whole region for agricultural use. The problem about man made climate change and its results can be seen in its dimensions. The historical known effects only hit a relative small regions or isolated regions. They only change the micro-climate and cause local effects. Industrial pollution and smog darkened the sky over London in the early industrial age and caused certain deformities of street-kids (minor stature and bent bones due to lack of Vitamin-D). But the smoky sky over London did not cause deformities elsewhere, because the smoke vanished by aeolian dilution in the surrounding environment. The problem of todays man made climate changes by industrial pollution and overexploitation is their spreading around the globe - the effects spread too and combine and add the results. They became global as there are no more singular and isolated regions concerned. The surfaces of natural rocks in Scandinavia weaken by acid rain. The surface of the sandstones of the ancient Pyramides in Egypt had to be cleaned professional one or two times in the last decade. They stood there over a few thousands of years and suffered no great harm, but caused by global industrial air pollution they are in danger to melt away. The problem of effects caused by industrial pollution are its destructive results. They can be ignored, but the question is, how long it will last, to cause irreversible damages and what will happen to the future of mankind on earth at this point? The man made global warming and its climate change effects can be ignored too. Nobody is compelled to believe in the results of scientific research based on thousands of data. Believe those theories or not - it is your choice. As a matter of fact there is only one question of real concern: How dangerous can/will the combination of both become - the man made caused effects adding as a catalysator to those of the natural climate change? Remember - we are living contemporary in a (natural) global warmage, which is climbing to its climax. Can industral pollution and overexploitation cause chain effects and drive the global warming drive over a point of no return? Mankind has the choice - either to find out what will happen on the hard way or choose for safety reasons (future of our childs etc.) the chicken game and avoid to get an answer to the interesting question, whether there is a point of no return. Your choice...

the problem is people put their faith in science and treat it as a religion....yep scientist never lie and falsify their info ...scientist don't taint their conclusions to suit the needs of their "masters". Science can mean anything you want it to mean if you have enough green.. money that is....look at those idiots that still claim the world is flat... with enough money I could find scientist who would verify that very fact for me. I could show you dozens of experiments that agree with me. I could easily rush these results online and have legions of idiots following me...( look at the anti vac people ) Just because I have some bogus scientific "facts " to back me up... which I PAID for!. I got the results that I wanted because money is always right People need to stop seeing science as the ultimate truth... it is tainted and flawed in alot of way.. and anyone that disagrees with global warming isnt' an idiot.. it has been showed that these scientist made up alot of their data to come to their conclusions

The motto of all Sciences is "in veritas". Searching for the truth. No more, no less. Sciences give answers or deliver model concepts based on contemporary knowledge and results, gained by structured proceedings, collecting of data and discussion of arguments. All sciences are open for further research.  People looking for everlasting answers about life, universe and the whole rest are free to settle their home of mind in faith and true believe. Only there they can find the peace of "ultimate truth".

LikesMatureOnes--I think an actual scientist, not the left wing which seem to be commenting rather vehemently on your blog, would be far more cautious to speak with such fiery rage against what you are saying. I think for me the issue is the carbon tax which all is being done in the name of global warming. I am not convinced by either side, and I used to be very much on the global warming side for about ten years or so, until I started to review the science on the other side. But as one of your doltish posters said, not supporting global warming is like believing the earth is flat. Okay. REally good argument..NOT.
