lil dictators...history repeating itself

People openly criticized trump for his " burn..whatever whatever..balls of fire..whatever" improved speech yesterday...
Basically claiming that trump wants us to get into a nuclear war...The state of Hawaii went into melt down mode and conducted civil defense training procedures.. every one stay away from windows and cover you head..yep that didn't work against radiation in the 1950s and certain isn't gonna save your ass now..

First off trump is NOT the first nor last president to openly criticize the leader/government of north korea. Bush did it/clinton did it/hell even obama did it.. hell Bush included them in the fucking axis of "evil" speech!
So lets be fair for a moment...

So yeah now it comes out that bill clinton gave north korea 4 Billion( with a B folks) US tax payers' dollars to behave themselves.. which they in turn used to build up their nuke program...remember folks n korea is a communist dictatorship where not having a painting of the leader in your house will get you arrested..actually according to a pbs documentary you need two.
Can you imagine being forced to have two paintings of trump in your living room or else?

Should we really be giving foreign governments billions of dollars to play along....? can you imagine what would happen if trump gave n korea 4 billion to just back down.

Anyway....didn't we have the same problem with that nutjob leader of iraq...didn't he have weapons of mass destruction...didn't he talk a good game?
what happened to him? last I remember his ass was swinging from a rope in some town square

So why are we so afraid of some cracker in asia? oh right he has a nuke..wink wink...or does he? firing off a few missiles doesn't prove anything...
Hitler had missiles too folks...

He rules by fear . The only fat guy in North Korea fed his own uncle alive to a pack of starving dogs . If that didn't send a message .... Hard to say what he will do when he encounters someone that doesn't piss their pants at the first threat he makes . I guess we'll see .

Criticize? That's how he criticizes? Kim Jong Un? Isn't he the little fat guy the big fat guy said he'd be honored to talk to?

Who needs Jon Stewart or SNL? You couldn't make this stuff up.

Hawaii? How many months ago was it there was panic in the streets in Trump territory about Islamic terrorists flying to the US on commercial aircraft disguised as refugees to declare Sharia law and chop their heads off? Sheesh! Talk about wimps. amp;

My Awesome President Trump Will Take Care Of Business If Neccesary But I Believe The Red Chinese Will Rein In The Norks Because They Don't Want A Conflagration In Their Own Backyard. The World Knows President Trump Is Not Bluffing And That Is Why For Almost The First Time Ever The Chinese And Russians Reluctantly Agreed With The USA Led United Nations Condemning The Norks. And That Is Also Why China Will Finally Step In Before Trump Decides To Act. The Norks Would Starve And Collapse Without Big Brother China's Support...

Some comments:

- What your president said yesterday wouldn't be so alarming, if it wasn't be reported by Michael Hayden (2009 retired chief of the CIA), that the elected-candidate Trump asked in a meeting for general information the present intelligence officials several times, why US cannot simply use nukes to end up catfights with foreign countries...

- North Korea is said to be able to get intercontinental armoured nukes ... some times. Not now. The international experts are still wondering, where North Korea got those missiles - or at least the blue prints - from, they eagerly tested the last few months?

- Rockets are much bigger and go much more onward than machine gun amunition, but maybe North Korea just plays the same game with other "bullets" it has played over decades along the borderline of North and South Korea? It seems to be already a kind of traditional muscle play - every few months one or both sides fire some rounds of machinegun bullets over their fences into No-mans-land.

- If North Korea really shoots some rockets in the direction of Guam most likely the same will happen, what happened one or two months ago, as rockets got to near to the border of the claimed national marine territory of Japan - either the allied japanese or american navy, resp. landbased rocket-defense will intercept and bring them down. Maybe even the chinese navy will stretch out a helping hand - in order to profile their image as peace-keepers in the asian zone.

okay here is honestly how this will go down...

big brother china will tell n Korea to slow it's role and everything will go back to normal..

Ideally what should happen is russia should take a step forward to shield trump and vow..if you shoot off any more missiles, we will attack n korea...luv or hate Putin, he doesn't fuck around

Hate to break it to you, Leo, but China doesn't have near as much to say about what North Korea does as you seem to imagine. Kim Jong Un has never set foot inside China since he became the boss. He slaughtered every friend China had in positions of influence in North Korea. He only permits contact between North Korea's Peoples Party and the Chinese Communist Party for official communication with China. He treats the Chinese like dirt and there's not a damn thing China can do about it. The Chinese talk a big game, but they not only ignored UN sanctions forbidding the purchase of North Korean coal, they actually increased their imports since Trump came into office. Their economic and military support of North Korea is the last scrap of influence they have, but they've been trying for decades to use it to get North Korea to moderate, to almost no effect. They did move a couple of armored divisions up to the Korean border about three months ago, but that was probably just to be sure they beat the Americans and South Koreans to Pyongyang in case the balloon goes up. Armored divisions aren't used for defense.

All the North Koreans have to do is stall for another year, and Kim will have his toy. Why the hell would he give that up when he's so close? He's Korean. They're tough sons of bitches, both North and South. Ask anybody who fought alongside the Koreans in Viet Nam. The only way you stop them is to convince them that they can't get what they want. That'll take a hell of a lot more than words.

I remain convinced that Trump's bombast is designed to permit the Chinese to go to the North Koreans and convince them that he's nuts.
I am also convinced that it won't work. You can't bullshit a bullshitter, and the North Koreans have proven to be the most accomplished bullshitters on the planet. Kim's got the whole damn world convinced he's crazy. He's crazy all right... like a fox. Trump is on the right track to the extent that he is trying to work in tandem with China. He's sucking canal water if he thinks big talk is going to be enough, however.

We need to give the Chinese more leverage over North Korea than they can generate on their own. Time is running out. North Korea still hasn't figured out how to achieve re-entry without incinerating their nose cone. We have less than a year to find a way to separate Kim from his new toy or break it so he can't play with it . That's the only way he'll be convinced that he has no choice but to negotiate. That will give the Chinese the leverage they need to bring him to heel. Otherwise, we're going to have to live with Kim with his new toy.

If you think the pipsqueak Islamic State is trouble, you ain't seen nothing yet, pal.

I look forward to hearing from you why North Korea should give a damn what China says when their supposed influence has so far not given them anything they've sought to get North Korea to do for the past fifty years. The short answer is you can't, because the Chinese need our help to produce more leverage... and sitting in the middle of a room and screaming ain't gonna cut it.

er considering the military might of a neighbor that basically is sitting on your head..I'd say china still has alot of sway. It would take like 2 seconds for china to invade and honestly the rest of the world wouldn't give a fuck...

that is the power that I'm talking about

Leo, Leo, Leo... *sigh*

China was in the same position with regard to Viet Nam. They invaded in 1979 to persuade Viet Nam to withdraw from Cambodia. Both sides claimed victory, but in reality the Chinese got their asses kicked and pulled back. Viet Nam stayed in Cambodia until 1989.

Isn't it interesting how knowing a few actual facts about history keeps you from making silly assumptions about power and influence?

Do you honestly believe china couldn't roll right into n korea today and nobody would give a fuck.. it would be hitler all over again... nobody would want to start a war over n korea...everyone hates n korea..hell north korea would be better served as being part of china....

so yeah I know something about power

The North Koreans would do to China what Viet Nam did in 1979, which is why the Chinese won't do it. They've been embarrassed once by a small neighbor they thought they could push around. The Vietnamese and North Koreans haven't maintained their independence from China for centuries by being pushovers. ...and lotsa folks would care, in part because North Korea has nukes that will easily reach China, and the prevailing winds from China blow across Korea to Japan.

Fortunately for the Chinese, they don't get their ideas about what to do about North Korea from their pals at the local tavern.
