I wish the news media would get their shit straight article came out the other day about the poor fbi agents that must toil under the trump administration and ( not get paid)...yep that is the message that the media has been spinning...way too many trump family members to provide protection to..trump taking too many golf trips etc etc etc...( ofcourse they will throw in the snide comment that trump dared criticize obama over the amount of his vacations/golf outings etc. Okay the one guy actually broke it down and said.. the fbi have to be paid ..it's the law.. they will get their base pay.. it is the overtime time that they probably won't receive until congress extends their budget etc. ( which is enacted in october) Second the current budget that the fbi is working on was passed under obama...the fbi had no clue who would be the next president and had no way to guesstimate what they would need to cover that person/their family etc. I'm not saying that trump doesn't have alot of family members or extended family members that do receive this protection. But if we are gonna bitch about cost of protection then why is the tax payer on the hook for protecting ex president's ...obama's oldest when to a music fest and got so stoned that the fbi had to golf cart her out...er she isn't even a /she turned 18 Chelsea clinton received fbi protection for an undisclosed time via a law signed by bill clinton and George w did the same for his daughters...no doubt obama did the same for his daughters. This FBI protection for the over 16 is supposed to end when the president leaves office...only the pres/first lady receive life time protection.. which was now reduced to 10 yrs. The vp only gets 6 months fbi protection after leaving office. So if the fbi is really that butt assed broke then why are they following obama's 18 yr old to harvard...I can't find any reference to chelsea clinton's current protection status...so she may or may not still be covered?? There was no mention of how long chelsea or the bush daughters received protection after their dad's left office.. the article said that is not disclosed by the fbi. This all came to light when the fbi van got towed for having unpaid parking tickets when the agents provided this additional coverage to the bush daughters and some believe the fbi was used as security for chelsea's wedding. Before we bitch about trump and his family receiving protection...shouldn't we included everyone into this mix...do the fbi really need to be at harvard protecting obama's oldest ? and if so they why isn't she mentioned by the media as a drain on the fbi's budget... the blame was put totally on trump... So perhaps the fbi needs to stop covering the adult of former presidents after they leave the office. |

The comparison made by news media is about the amount needed to fund protection of the president as compared to the amounts needed to fund protection for other Presidents. If this president spent the same amount of time on the job as others then the cost would not be so high. Needs change over time. Family members are more likely to need protection today than they were in the past. Try reading the news next time to understand what it is saying. The blackest lie is a partial truth that leads you to the wrong conclusion.

No the news was talking about the FBI over extending its yearly budget providing protection. You can't just blame trump when say obamas daughters are also being protected
